○怡顔斎が言うには、花桐谷の八重桜で少し小さい。
色は少し紅く、寒暖の
差に関係なく、他の花に
遅れて開くものである。歌にも
四月の新緑などと詠み合わせて
「青葉隠れの遅桜」などと言う。

○怡顔斎が言うには、別名を若木
桜、別名を節会桜、別名を
十六日桜という。考えてみるに、節会
桜、別名十六日桜は伊予国
松山にあり、正月中旬に
必ず開くものである。一重の小さな花
である。近年枯れてしまったが、また

○ Igen-sai says: This is a double cherry from Hanakiri Valley that is somewhat small.
The color is slightly red, and regardless of
temperature differences, it blooms later than other flowers.
In poetry it is paired with
April's fresh greenery and expressed as
"late cherry hidden among green leaves" and such.

○ Igen-sai says: Also called Wakaki
Cherry, also called Sechie Cherry, also called
Jūrokunichi Cherry. Upon examination, Sechie
Cherry, also called Jūrokunichi Cherry, is found in Iyo Province
at Matsuyama, and invariably
blooms in mid-January. It has single, small flowers.
In recent years it had withered, but again...
