offering their respects, being granted the honor of sharing in the New Year's soup and clear soup, and receiving sake cups. Afterwards,
in the inner chambers, the Kōchi retainers along with Mito Takumi (Chōgi), Yamakawa Naizen (Chōtaku), Mito
Heibei (Chōei), Tagaya Gondayū (Ōhiro), and Inagaki Yasuemon (Shigenao) offered their respects and [were served] ceremonial abalone
