御昼休みの後、福井三ノ丸の御座所に御着きになり、本多孫太郎長員をはじめ
御家老並びに御宿老に御長蚫を下され、御料理の御相伴を仰せ付けられ、御盃を
下された。その後、御奏者番その他の御役人、御小姓頭、横目、御徒頭、御膳番
等に御長蚫を下された。
一 十月十三日、右と同様につき御礼の御使者寄合西尾仁左衛門を江戸表へ
指し出される。今日福井出立。
一 同月二十三日、御拝領の御鷹が着いたため迎えとして高橋吉兵衛が今庄まで
赴き、福井町口まで大関吉左衛門が出向いた。御鷹着到の節、御座所の
御玄関へ荒川権七・海福勘介、御広間へ御家老が出向き、その節

鉄砲の間まで御出でになり、御鷹を御頂戴された。
一 同月二十五日、御帰国の御礼のため御使者西尾仁左衛門をもって御肴
二種、御樽一荷を献上され、仁左衛門には御目見得を仰せ付けられた。
一 同月二十九日、御使者西尾仁左衛門が御城へ出向いたところ、御返書の御渡し
があり、その節、仁左衛門に御時服三つの拝領を仰せ付けられた。
一 十一月二十日、御使者西尾仁左衛門の御目見得並びに拝領物を仰せ付けられた
御礼のため御使者を江戸表へ指し出されたところ、右の御返書が今日相渡された。
一 同月二十三日、御使者原平左衛門をもって当秋御拝領の御鷹で捕らえ飼育した
雁・鴨を献上された。平左衛門は今日福井を出立。

he bestowed dried abalone upon the senior retainers and elder retainers, commanded them to dine with him, and
granted them sake cups. Afterwards, he bestowed dried abalone upon the ceremonial announcers and other officials,
pages' heads, inspectors, foot soldiers' heads, meal attendants, and others.
One 10th Month, 13th Day: For the same reason as above, the messenger for gratitude, Yoriai Nishio Jinzaemon, was
dispatched to Edo. Today departed from Fukui.
One Same month, 23rd Day: As the gifted hawks arrived, Takahashi Kichibei went to Imajo as a greeter,
and Ozeki Kichizaemon went out to Fukui town entrance. When the hawks arrived, at the lord's quarters,
Arakawa Gonshichi and Kaifuku Kansuke went to the front entrance, and the senior retainers went to the great hall. At that time,

One Same month, 25th Day: For gratitude regarding his return to the domain, through messenger Nishio Jinzaemon, he presented
two types of fish and one load of sake barrels, and Jinzaemon was granted an audience.
One Same month, 29th Day: When messenger Nishio Jinzaemon appeared at the castle, a reply letter was handed over,
and at that time, Jinzaemon was granted three ceremonial court robes.
One 11th Month, 20th Day: For gratitude regarding messenger Nishio Jinzaemon's audience and the bestowal of gifts,
a messenger was dispatched to Edo, and the aforementioned reply letter was delivered today.
One Same month, 23rd Day: Through messenger Hara Heizaemon, he presented wild geese and ducks that had been caught and raised
using the hawks gifted this autumn. Heizaemon departed from Fukui today.
