次郎手許まて申出候寄持之申出ニ候得ハ
願之通為指出小松嶋浦粥米之内へ
指加へ追而惣入目都帳面指出候様可有
之哉之旨書相添手崎御郡代申出候書

手紙をもって申し伝えます。下記の通り、御仕置付の書面をもって渡されましたので、書写して伝達いたします。このようにご承知おきください。以上

下記の者たちの件について、この度の地震により小松島浦で出火・焼失に及んだ困窮者たちに対し、御救済を仰せ付けられた段、ありがたく心得、冥加のため下記の通り、その御救米の内へ差し上げたい旨を、中田村組頭庄屋田村康太郎、中郷村右同役鶴羽友次郎の手許まで申し出ました寄付の申し出でございます。願いの通り差し出させ、小松島浦の粥米の内へ加え、追って総入目の帳面を提出するようにとのことでしょうかという旨を書き添えて、手崎御郡代が申し出た書面です。

Regarding the matter of the persons listed below: Due to the recent earthquake, there was a fire outbreak and destruction at Komatsu Island Bay, and gracious relief has been ordered for the distressed people. Understanding this gratefully, and as an offering for divine favor, we wish to contribute to the relief rice as written below. This was reported to village headman and village chief Tamura Yasutaro of Nakata Village group, and Tsuruha Tomojiro of the same position in Nakago Village - this is an application for contribution. The question is whether, as requested, this should be contributed and added to the gruel rice for Komatsu Island Bay, and whether a complete accounting ledger should be submitted later. A document from Tezaki County Magistrate was submitted with this written inquiry.
