事ニ候然処尚又此度質素倹約を始御製
服等之御取究被 仰出觸達候懸りニ付尚又
町御奉行之面々申談第一賣元ゟ取究
其末々ニ至迄行届取究候事ニ候条此上厚
相心得夫々令納得候上ハ請書取約可指出候
将亦其方共組村々之者共へも右様厚取究
右之懸りを以改質素倹約之御趣意相守候様
尚亦申聞可置候

現代語訳
ことになります。しかしながら、なお今度も質素倹約をはじめ御製服等についてのご決定が仰せ出されて触達された件に関して、なおまた町奉行の面々と相談して、第一に売元から取り調べて、その末端に至るまで行き届いた取り調べを行うことになります。したがって、この上厚く心得て、それぞれに納得させた上は、請書を取って約定書を提出させるべきです。
また、そなたたち（地方役人）の組合村々の者たちへも、右のように厚く取り調べ、この件をもって改めて質素倹約のご趣意を守るよう、なおまた申し聞かせておくべきです。

However, regarding the recent proclamation and circulation of orders concerning frugality, economy, and official clothing regulations, we shall consult further with the town magistrates and conduct thorough investigations starting from the primary sellers down to the very last link in the chain. Therefore, after ensuring thorough understanding and convincing each party accordingly, written pledges and agreements must be obtained and submitted.
Furthermore, you (local officials) must also conduct thorough investigations among the people of your associated villages and, based on this matter, remind them once again to observe the policy of frugality and economy.
