急速ニ取調候様ニハ難相運延々ニ相成候而ハ弥
下々迷惑可仕候ニ付當八月以来相溜り候出入
御役場手懸之株も先其方共へ取調方相渡
来正月廿一日ゟ二月晦日迄於旅宿壱時
手懸申付候条自組他組ニ不拘手懸之義
只今ゟ相心得罷在手元繰合弥其方共へ
夫々正月廿一日御役場へ罷出案内可申出事
　　但御役場ニ而相手懸可申株之義ハ呼懸之上
　　御役場御用繁ニ付取頻難手懸又延々ニ
　　相成候而ハ迷惑可仕候ニ付先壱應与頭庄屋へ
　　取調旁相渡相手懸させ候旨委細申聞
　　旅宿へ指遣事ニ候幷其方共へ相渡候
　　出入筋之義ハ其方共呼懸状ニ令上封
　　旅宿へ為呼出候事ニ候尤八月以来ニ
　　無之其以前其方共へ相渡有之品も
　　只今ゟ取調置廿一日株書を以壱應

現代語訳

急速に取り調べるようには運びにくく、延々と続けば、ますます下々の迷惑をかけることになるため、当八月以来溜まっている出入りの御役場手配分についても、まずはそちら方へ取調方を相渡し、来る正月二十一日から二月末日まで旅宿において一時的に手配を申し付ける条件で、自組他組に関わらず手配については今から心得ておき、手元で調整して、いよいよそちら方へそれぞれ正月二十一日に御役場へ出向いて案内を申し出るべきこと。
　ただし御役場で相手配すべき件については呼び掛けた上で、御役場の御用が繁忙であるため頻繁に手配することが困難で、また延々と続けば迷惑をかけることになるため、まず一応与頭庄屋へ取調を兼ねて相渡し、相手配させる旨を委細申し聞かせ、旅宿へ指し遣わすことである。並びにそちら方へ相渡しする出入筋については、そちら方で呼び掛け状に封をして、旅宿へ呼び出すためのことである。もっとも八月以来ではなく、それ以前にそちら方へ相渡ししてある品についても、今から取り調べ置き、二十一日に件書をもって一応

Since it is difficult to conduct investigations rapidly, and if this continues indefinitely, it will cause even more trouble for the common people below, regarding the accumulated legal matters at the government office since this past eighth month, we will first transfer the investigation methods to you. From the coming twenty-first day of the first month until the end of the second month, we will temporarily assign handling at the inn, with the condition that regardless of whether it involves one's own group or other groups, you should understand the handling arrangements from now, coordinate matters at hand, and each of you should appear at the government office on the twenty-first day of the first month to request guidance.
　However, regarding cases that should be handled at the government office, after calling them up, since the government office duties are busy and frequent handling is difficult, and if this continues indefinitely it will cause trouble, we will first provisionally transfer them to the group heads and village headmen along with investigations, have them handle the matters, explain the details thoroughly, and dispatch them to the inn. Furthermore, regarding the legal matters to be transferred to you, you shall seal them in summons documents and call them to the inn.
