板野郡鍛冶屋原村百姓西條屋次兵衛伜
之由茂三郎義大坂表相稼罷在候内主人
殺害ニ及迯去行衛相分り不申ニ付罷帰り
候義も難計ニ付穿鑿候上ヵ召捕之義
東町奉行より懸合有之候旨彼地
御留主居ゟ申来候条市郷穿鑿方
屹と御了簡之事
但郷分住居之者ハ何者ニよらす取調可申候
且本文委細之義先達而御留主
より其御役塲へ通達ニ相成候旨も

板野郡鍛冶屋原村の百姓西條屋次兵衛の息子である茂三郎が、大坂表で働いているうちに主人を殺害して逃亡し、行方が分からなくなったため、帰郷することも計り難いので、詮索の上で召し捕ることについて、東町奉行より問い合わせがあった旨を、現地の御留守居から申し越してきたので、市郷の詮索方についてはしっかりとご了承のこと
ただし郷分に住居する者は誰であろうと取り調べること
また本文の詳細については先達て御留守居より其の御役場へ通達になった旨も申し越してきたので、このようにご承知のこと

Regarding Shigeichiro, son of peasant Saijoya Jihei from Kajiyahara village in Itano County: while working in Osaka, he killed his master and fled, his whereabouts being unknown. Since it is difficult to predict his return home, there has been an inquiry from the East Town Magistrate regarding investigation and arrest. This matter has been reported by the local caretaker official, so the municipal investigation department should take proper note of this matter.
However, anyone residing in the rural districts should be investigated regardless of who they are.
Also, regarding the details of the main text, it was reported that notification had already been sent from the caretaker official to the relevant office, so please be aware of this accordingly.
