申上覚
此度胡乱者狩之義厚被仰出候ニ付同心衆壱人下才判
弐人番非人弐人【郷目付二人、脱】右七人ヲ一組ニ仕北方へ三崎南方へ
弐崎御指向成候ニ付而者御山下外村々別帋之
通郷目付打廻り請持相記指上申候勿論詮義方
趣ニゟ只今ゟ何村へハ何日と申義ハ相分り不申候得共
順々詮義方之模様ニゟ大綱何日者何村と申義
出張御役人ゟ其村々庄屋へ御配成り不申達候ハ
御指支之程も難計奉存候且又郷目付之義も
打廻り之御都合ニ寄且又出張御役人ゟ直々御配
成候方御弁理成候義と奉存候依而私共申合候遂
無指扣奉申上候旨間可然様被仰上可被下候以上

申し上げ覚え
このたび胡乱者狩りの件について厚くお達しをいただきましたが、同心衆一人、下才判二人、番非人二人【郷目付二人、脱】右七人を一組として北方へ三崎、南方へ二崎をご指向くださいましたが、御山下外の村々については別紙の通り郷目付が巡回して請け持ちを相記して差し上げております。もちろん詮議方の都合により、今から何村へは何日という件は分かりませんが、順々詮議方の模様により大綱何日は何村という件を、出張御役人からその村々の庄屋へお達しいただかなければ、お差し支えの程も計り難く存じます。また郷目付の件も巡回のご都合により、また出張御役人から直々にお達しくださる方がご便宜が良いものと存じます。よって私どもが申し合わせて差し控えることなく申し上げる次第でございますので、しかるべきようにお申し上げくださいますようお願いいたします。以上

Memorandum respectfully submitted
Regarding the matter of hunting suspicious persons for which we have received detailed instructions, you have directed that seven people be formed into one group - one dōshin officer, two gesaihan, two ban-hinin【two rural inspectors, omitted】- with three points to the north and two points to the south. Concerning the villages outside of Oyamashita, as shown in the separate document, rural inspectors patrol and record their assigned areas, which we have submitted. Of course, due to the convenience of the investigation department, we do not yet know which village will be visited on which day, but according to the sequential investigation pattern, the general schedule of which village on which day should be communicated from the dispatched officials to the village headmen of those villages. Otherwise, we believe the extent of interference would be difficult to calculate. Furthermore, regarding the rural inspectors, depending on the convenience of their patrol rounds, we believe it would be more convenient if the dispatched officials communicate directly with them. Therefore, we have consulted among ourselves and respectfully submit this without reservation, so please present this matter appropriately. The above.
