 者も麁食欠略ハ勿論ニ候へ共其程ヲ過不申様  村役人厚相心得罷在時々見聞心ヲ付可申事   但處ニより一日五度も食事仕候趣春   分ハ農事ゆるやかニ候へハ一食位ハ相減   可然農事繁多之時節ニ相至候へハ   有来通相心得可申事 右之次第申付有之既春分も過キ農事之 最中ニ至候へハ食物之分量ハ生得之 剛柔(ごうじう)骨 折之甲乙ニも寄自然之持前有之といへとも万 々一主人之法こまやか成るを悋懎と恨(うらミ)ミて辞(いや)【ママ、彌】 か上ニも貪而も食ふ而已ならす家業ヲ怠又主人ハ 召仕者之不精不働を咎而倹約と唱減食を 宛ふ様之不心得等有之候而ハ以之外成義ニ候条 主人ハ愛 憐(れん)を専とし被召仕者ハ身分之程 忘(わす)れす互ニ宜精通し合候ゟ一日之間ニ飲食 纔之寸陰も【不脱ヵ】相厭おのれ〳〵が勤を励ミ出精 せしむるニおゐてハ其中ゟ給物之欠略も

者も粗食・欠略はもちろんのことであるが、その程度を過ごさぬよう、村役人は厚く心得ており、時々見聞して心を付けるべきこと ただし、場所により一日五度も食事をする趣き、春分は農事がゆるやかであるから一食位は相減ずるのが然るべきであるが、農事繁多の時節に至れば、有来の通り心得るべきこと 右の次第申し付けこれあり、既に春分も過ぎ農事の最中に至れば、食物の分量は生得の剛柔、骨折の甲乙にも寄り、自然の持前これありといえども、万々一主人の法がこまやかになるのを悋懎と恨んで、いやが上にも貪って食うのみならず家業を怠り、また主人は召使者の不精・不働きを咎めて倹約と唱え減食を宛がう様の不心得等これあり候ては、もってのほかなることに候条、主人は愛憐を専らとし、被召仕者は身分の程忘れず、互いに宜しく精通し合い候より、一日の間に飲食わずかの寸陰も相厭わず、おのれおのれが勤めを励み出精せしむるにおいては、その中より給物の欠略も

Those in positions of authority should of course practice simple eating and rationing, but village officials should be well aware not to go to extremes, and should pay attention by observing conditions from time to time. However, in some places people eat five times a day. During the spring equinox when agricultural work is light, it would be appropriate to reduce meals by about one, but when the busy agricultural season arrives, they should follow established practices. These matters have been ordered as stated above. Now that the spring equinox has passed and we are in the midst of agricultural work, the amount of food depends on one's natural constitution - strong or weak - and the degree of physical labor involved, as there are natural individual differences.
