春八町堀御家敷御類焼ニ付而も差當り候御手當ニ
向ヲ始御普請等不被仰付而ハ御迷惑も厚不被為得
止御入目是又廣大之御事ニ候所御勝手方之御繰合ニ

そのような事情でまた両都（江戸・京都）で御借上（借金）をお命じになり、差し当たりのところは御都合がついているように見えますが、前述の通り年々御物入（出費）が重なって御不足高（赤字額）が莫大に及んでいるところ、もはや御仕送り（財政運営）の道が行き詰まっている状況です。当春、八町堀御屋敷の御類焼（もらい火）につきましても、差し当たりの御手当（対応）に向けて始め、御普請（修築工事）等をお命じにならなくては御迷惑も厚く、やむを得ない御入目（費用）でこれまた広大な御事であります。御勝手方（財政）の御繰り合わせ（資金調達）につきましては、御要用（必要経費）の御引き除き（削減）もこれまで度々御取り欠き（削減）になっているままで、御倹約の道もなく、御仕送りがあれこれと御指支（支障）になっているため、御家中をはじめ半所務（俸禄半減）を召し上げるようにお命じになりたい旨が御聴（上聞）に達しましたが、近年歩懸（足軽）を召し上げ、かつ世上不融通（世間の経済状況の悪化）などにより一般に難渋の趣に聞こえております。すでに先達ても借銀御仕解（借金整理）もお命じになったことでありますが、中にはとにかく取り障り兼ねる向きもあるやに聞こえますため、歩懸の御評議（検討）は先ず差し止め、いかようにも御取約（節約）をもって御取り続きの道を立てるように再三お命じになり、厚く御配慮をなさっている御趣意は重々ありがたく恐れ入ります。なお又折り返し種々御評議に及びましたが、多年の御不足が重なって
