等迄も難義を懸候義毎々有之日雇奉公人とも
高賃高給を無意ニ費し候趣別而如何之事ニ而
此度賃銀給銀等引下候迚も質素正路ニ相稼候
得ハ迷惑之筋ハ無之事ニ候条右之處能々相心
得実意を以相稼賃金引下可申候右申付相背
高賃高給を貪不心得之件々ハ勿論衣服飲食
等ニ至迄不都合之義有之候得ハ屹と咎可申付事
但奉公人之義請人連判村役人加判之證文を
取召抱候義古来より之御達ニ候處心得違證文
取不申者も有之又不筋を相工無證文ニ而奉公
入仕前給借請證文相渡不申而已ならす前
給取遁同断令出奔候様之者も有之右等
之筋ハ別而如何不埒之事ニ候此度本文之通
取究候ニ付而ハ御古法之通いつれも請状指出
奉公可仕候右申付相背者有之候得ハ屹咎
可申付候召抱候者とても同断之事ニ候右様

等にまで難儀をかける義が度々あり、日雇奉公人共が高賃金・高給を無意味に費やす趣は、別して如何なることであって、この度賃銀・給銀等を引き下げるとしても、質素・正路に相稼ぐならば迷惑の筋はないことである。条件として右の処をよくよく心得て、実意をもって相稼ぎ、賃金を引き下げるべきである。右の申し付けに背いて高賃金・高給を貪り、不心得の件々はもちろん、衣服・飲食等に至るまで不都合の義があれば、きっと咎めを申し付けること。
但し、奉公人の義について請人連判・村役人加判の証文を取って召し抱える義は古来よりの御達しであるところ、心得違いで証文を取らない者もあり、また筋違いを相工んで無証文にて奉公に入り、前給借請証文を相渡さないのみならず、前給を取って逃亡するのと同断で出奔するような者もある。右等の筋は別して如何にも不埒なことである。この度本文の通り取り究めるについては、御古法の通りいずれも請状を指し出して奉公をすべきである。右の申し付けに背く者があれば、きっと咎めを申し付ける。召し抱える者とても同断のことである。右様に申し付けるについては、村役人共においても不都合に

Even though wages and salaries are being reduced this time, if they work frugally and properly, there should be no cause for distress. Therefore, they should thoroughly understand these conditions, work with genuine intent, and accept wage reductions. Those who disobey these orders and greedily pursue high wages and salaries, not only in matters of poor judgment but also in improper conduct regarding clothing, food and drink, shall be strictly punished.
However, regarding servants, the practice of employing them after obtaining documents with joint signatures from guarantors and co-signatures from village officials has been established by ancient decree. Yet some misunderstand and fail to obtain proper documents, while others conspire improperly to enter service without documentation, not only failing to provide advance salary loan guarantee documents, but also taking advance payments and absconding, just like those who flee. Such conduct is particularly inexcusable and lawless. Since this matter is being thoroughly investigated as stated in the main text, everyone must submit guarantee documents and serve according to ancient law.
