諸郷地面之儀者多分故障有之候而指支候ニ付
無據弐軒屋潮見寺寺内又者佐古大谷ニ而
興行仕候義ニ而終始願人共難渋せしめ候趣
ニ付而ハ已後右之趣惣而勢見山下北隅ゟ観
音寺境内等ニ而興行為仕尤相重り場處
指支候節ハ外方ニ而も致させ候様幷右様被仰付
候得ハ御山下諸廿一ケ村浦より御郡代處へ願出候
寄進操等之義も同處指支不申節ハ右場処
ニ而興行仕可申事
一市中相撲力共毎月處々ニ而一日之稽古
角力興行せしめ候儀以後者惣而金毘羅
社裏手之山又者観音寺之内ニ而仕候事
一大角力中角力幷御祝儀操等之儀も
右最寄ニ而興行為致度候得とも右者小屋
取餘程場廣ニ無之而ハ難取行候ニ付右者是
迄之通外場處ニ而仕候事
右件々之通町御奉行處ゟ申来候条
現代語訳
諸郷の土地の件については多分に故障があり支障をきたしているため、
やむを得ず弐軒屋潮見寺の寺内または佐古大谷において
興行を行うことになり、終始願人たちが難渋している趣旨
については、今後右の趣旨により総て勢見山下北隅から観
音寺境内等において興行を行うこととし、もっとも重複して場所が
支障をきたす節は他の場所でも行わせるようにし、並びに右のように仰せ付けられた
場合は、御山下諸二十一ヶ村浦より御郡代所へ願い出る
寄進操り等の件も同所が支障申さない節は右の場所
において興行を行うべきこと
一、市中の相撲力士たちが毎月所々において一日の稽古
角力興行を行う件については、以後は総て金毘羅
社裏手の山または観音寺の内において行うこと
一、大角力・中角力並びに御祝儀操り等の件も
右の最寄りにおいて興行を行いたいが、右は小屋
取りがかなり場所を広く必要とし、それなしでは取り行うのが困難であるため、右はこれ
までの通り他の場所において行うこと
右の件々の通り町御奉行所より申し来た条
英語訳
Regarding the land matters in various rural districts, there are many obstacles causing hindrances, so
inevitably performances must be held within Niken-ya Shiomi-ji temple grounds or at Sako Ōtani,
which has caused continuous difficulties for the petitioners.
Concerning this matter, hereafter according to the above principle, all performances shall be held from the northern corner below Semi-yama to within Kannon-ji temple precincts, and most appropriately when venues
conflict and cause hindrance, they may also be held at other locations. Furthermore, when such orders are given,
regarding donation puppet shows and similar entertainments petitioned from the twenty-one villages and ports below the sacred mountain to the district magistrate's office, when the same location does not cause hindrance, performances
shall be held at the aforementioned location.
1. Regarding sumo wrestlers from the city holding one-day practice
wrestling matches monthly at various locations, hereafter all such events shall be held on the mountain behind Konpira
Shrine or within Kannon-ji temple grounds.
1. Regarding grand sumo, medium sumo, and celebratory puppet shows,
although we would like to hold performances at the aforementioned nearby locations, these require temporary structures
and considerably wide spaces, without which they cannot be conducted, so these
shall continue to be held at other locations as before.
