現代語訳
幕湯に入る人は、湯女の支配人である菊屋清助と湯女三、四人に対して、いずれも到着時と帰る時に、心持ち次第で祝儀を渡してよい。
宿の亭主・女房・召使いの下女・下男等に対しても、到着の節と帰る時に、心持ち次第で祝儀を渡す。もし銀貨の用意が面倒であれば、一つにまとめて配分を宿に頼むか、または地元で通用する銀札を用意して、相応に包み分けるのもよい。
灯明銭
一人につき一回り三銭ずつ。湯女が取りに回る。
掃除銭
自分で世帯を持つ座敷は、一回りにつき一間から十五文。炊き出しの数から、一人につき一回り三文ずつ。地元の番人が取りに来る。
雇い人
毎日早朝から来て働き、夕暮れに帰る。賃金は一回り二匁五分。その他に相応の心付けがあるべきである。雇うと非常に良い。

Those who enter the private bathing areas (maku-yu) should give gratuities as they see fit to the bath attendant supervisor Kikuya Seisuke and three to four female bath attendants, both upon arrival and departure.
To the inn's master, his wife, and the servants (both male and female staff), gratuities should also be given upon arrival and departure, according to one's discretion. If preparing silver coins is troublesome, one may bundle everything together and ask the inn to distribute it, or alternatively, prepare local silver notes and divide them into appropriate packets.
Lamp oil money
Three sen per person per stay. The bath attendants collect this fee.
Cleaning money
For self-catered rooms, fifteen mon per room per stay. Based on the number of meals prepared, three mon per person per stay. Local guards come to collect this fee.
Hired help
They come to work every day from early morning and return at dusk. Wages are two monme and five bu per stay. Additionally, appropriate gratuities should be given. Hiring them is very beneficial.
