一、同日、右同様につき増上寺御普請場の件につき御老中久世大和守重之殿へ左の通り御伺い書を差し出された
「松平出羽守の母が病気に罹っておりましたところ、養生叶わず昨夜四時に死去いたしました。私にとっては実は姉でございますが、兵部大輔として家督を受けた筋目により続柄が遠くなっております。しかしながら実際には右の趣でございますので、半減の忌服を受けます。これにより今二日より同十一日まで日数十日の内、忌中に罷在ります。右の趣を御用番へ御届けいたしました。それにつきまして万一増上寺近所で出火の節、御普請所へ私が罷り出る件は差し控え、家来を差し出すべきでしょうか」
英語訳
she died at four o'clock. She was my actual elder sister, but since I received the family headship as Hyōbu-taiyu, the relationship has become distant in terms of lineage. However, since she is actually of that relationship to me, I will observe half-reduced mourning. This is to notify you of the above. That is all.

1. On the same day, regarding the same matter and concerning the Zōjōji temple construction site, the following inquiry document was submitted to Senior Councillor Kuze Yamato-no-kami Shigeyuki:
"The mother of Matsudaira Dewa-no-kami had been suffering from illness, but treatment was unsuccessful and she died last night at four o'clock. She was actually my elder sister, but since I received the family headship as Hyōbu-taiyu, the relationship has become distant in terms of lineage. However, since she is actually of that relationship, I will observe half-reduced mourning. Accordingly, from today the 2nd until the 11th of the same month, for a period of ten days, I will be in mourning. I have notified the duty councillor of this matter. Regarding this, in the event of a fire breaking out near Zōjōji temple, should I refrain from going out to the construction site myself and instead send my retainers?"
