御家老着座有之候得共年始御礼之節着座無之儀ニ付
右御礼之節も及其儀間敷哉之旨相伺候処以来年始御礼

干鯛被献之

一六月十六日 御目付平岡市右衛門殿へ御家老酒井玄蕃（知房）が
罷り出て、痛いところがあり馬上のみ勤めが困難である旨の誓紙を持参し血判を
差し出した。その節、御目付中への御頼みの御書（去る四日付）を差し出して済み、
取次所で持参した銀（馬代）を取次まで渡した
一同日 本多大蔵（長教）の継目につき、先達て使者をもって献上物を首尾よく差し
上げたにつき、御礼のため江戸表へ御書を指し出した
一六月二十一日 組の者を預かる面々へ左の通り御書付をもって仰せ出された
面々が組の者を召し抱える節に吟味すべき儀ではあるが、御
用に立ち難い者も見受けられるので、この以後なお一層念を入れて吟味し、
不調法で宜しくない体の者を召し置かぬよう仕るべきである。以上

一六月二十二日 御家老の嫡子の元服・名替等の御礼の節には
御家老の着座があるが、年始御礼の節には着座がないことにつき、
右御礼の節もその儀に及ぶべきではないかとの旨を伺ったところ、以来年始御礼
の節も御家老が着座すべき旨仰せ出された
一六月二十三日 暑中につき御書をもって例の通り御国産の素麺・
干鯛を献上した
一六月二十四日 暑中の御機嫌伺いのため御使者下山半左衛門（尚恭）を

1. June 16th: Chief retainer Sakai Genba (Tomofusa) went to
Inspector Hiraoka Ichiemon, bringing a sworn statement with blood seal stating that due to a painful condition, it would be difficult to perform duties except on horseback.
On that occasion, he submitted a letter of request to the inspectors (dated the 4th of last month), and this matter was concluded. The silver (payment for horse) brought to the liaison office was handed over to the liaison.
1. Same day: Regarding Honda Ōkura's (Naganori) succession, since the tribute items were successfully presented through a messenger previously, a letter was sent to Edo as gratitude.
1. June 21st: The following written directive was issued to those in charge of group members:
Although you should examine when taking group members into service,
some who are difficult to use for official duties have been observed, so hereafter conduct examinations with even greater care,
and do not retain those who are incompetent or of poor character. The above.

1. June 22nd: Regarding the ceremony for the chief retainer's eldest son's coming of age and name change,
although the chief retainer is seated during such ceremonies, there is no seating during New Year ceremonies. When inquired whether
the same should apply to such ceremonies, it was decreed that henceforth the chief retainer should also be seated during New Year ceremonies.
1. June 23rd: Due to the summer heat, the customary local products of wheat noodles and
dried sea bream were presented with a letter.
1. June 24th: Messenger Shimoyama Hanzaemon (Naokyō) [was sent] to inquire after [the shogun's] well-being during the summer heat.
