御留守居大関新五左衛門《割書：直看》が持参し、御勘定所へ出向いて《割書：小役人共を指添えて》納入した
一 同日 右同断につき御届けのため御老中久世大和守《割書：重之》殿へ御使者として
御留守居大関新五左衛門《割書：直看》を派遣した
一 十二月十六日 御用番戸田山城守《割書：忠真》殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居大関新五左衛門《割書：直看》が出向いたところ、増火消の件について左の通り御書付を以って仰せ渡された

一 増火消を仰せ付けられた節、火元へは向かわず火先の方の
防御の場所まで出動し、御目付・御使番の内へ相談の
上、いずれの方面でも防御すべきこと

One: 12th day of 12th month - Due to the cold season, fresh cod, a local specialty (first grade), was offered as usual through a written document

The accounting ledger for assistance with the construction of Lord Yushoin's Buddhist hall was completed, so
caretaker Ozeki Shingoemon (Naotaka) brought it and went to the accounting office with minor officials in attendance to submit it
One: Same day - For the same matter, as notification to Senior Councilor Lord Kuze Yamato-no-kami (Shigeyuki),
caretaker Ozeki Shingoemon (Naotaka) was dispatched as messenger
One: 16th day of 12th month - There was a summons from duty officer Lord Toda Yamashiro-no-kami (Tadamasa), and when caretaker Ozeki Shingoemon (Naotaka) appeared, he received the following written instructions regarding additional fire brigades:

One: When additional fire brigades are ordered, do not proceed to the source of the fire but advance to
defensive positions ahead of the fire, and after consultation with
inspectors and messenger officials, defend in whichever direction [is deemed appropriate]
