御仏殿とも御別条なきにつき、御歓びのため御用番戸田山城守忠真殿へ御使者として御留守居を派遣された
ただし、東叡山並びに増上寺とも寺中出火の節は、向後御勤めがあるはずである旨が仰せ出された
一、同日（夕七時）小石川筋から出火したところ、北風が強く大火となり、御上屋敷が残らず御類焼した（七時半）。これにつき霊巌島御中屋敷へお移りになったところ、風下で甚だ危険であったが、防火等を厳重に仰せ付けられ御別条なかった。これにつき早速増上寺へ御出馬されたところ、御道筋の火勢が強く御出向きが困難になったため、一旦お引き取りになり、焼け通った後、御普請場へお出向きになった。翌二十三日暁六時半に霊巌島御屋敷へお帰りになった
一、同日、右同様の御類焼につき、梅姫様が天徳寺へお避難された

As both the Buddha hall and other buildings were unharmed, a messenger (the castellan) was sent to Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadazane, who was on duty, to express gratitude.
However, it was announced that in future cases of fires within the temple grounds of both Tōeizan and Zōjōji, [the lord] would perform duties [of inquiry/assistance].
1. On the same day (7 PM), a fire broke out from the Koishikawa area, and with strong north winds it became a great fire, completely burning down the upper residence (7:30 PM). [The lord] moved to the middle residence at Reiganjima, where although it was quite dangerous being downwind, strict fire prevention measures were ordered and there were no problems. Regarding this, [the lord] immediately set out for Zōjōji Temple, but as the fire was intense along the route making departure difficult, he temporarily withdrew, and after the fire had burned through, went to the construction site. At dawn on the following 23rd day at 6:30 AM, [the lord] returned to the Reiganjima residence.
