昨晩火事ニ付私居屋敷不残類焼仕候故霊厳
嶋中屋敷江引越罷在候左様御座候得者此度居
屋敷類焼仕ニ付而御手伝場所万一 御免被遊
御沙汰も御座候者何とそ其儘相勤申度念願ニ
奉存候此等之趣被御聞置可被下候依之御内意

伝達の件をそのまま御勤めしたいにつき、御用掛り御老中久世大和守重之殿へ御使者として御留守居大関新五左衛門直看を通じて左の通り御書付を提出された
「昨晩の火事につき私の居屋敷が残らず類焼いたしましたので、霊巌島中屋敷へ引越して罷り在ります。さように御座候えば、この度居屋敷が類焼いたしましたことにつき、御手伝場所を万一御免遊ばされる御沙汰も御座候わば、何とぞそのまま相勤め申したく念願に存じ奉ります。これらの趣をお聞き置き下されるべく候。これにより御内意申し上げ候。何分にも宜しきよう頼み奉り候。以上
正月二十三日 松平伊予守」
一、同日、梅姫様が天徳寺から中務大輔昌平様の浅草御屋敷へお引越しされた
一、正月二十四日、増上寺御仏殿へ御参詣され、それから御普請場へ御見分のためお出向きになった
一、正月二十五日、御登城された（昨二十四日に御老中連名の御切紙が来た）ところ、御老中列座にて御用番阿部豊後守正喬殿が左の通り御書付をもって御達しがあった
「松平伊予守
居屋敷類焼につき増上寺有章院様御仏殿御手伝を遊ばされることを御免候えども...」
英語訳
Regarding the matter of continuing to carry out duties as before, through messenger and castellan Ōzeki Shingozaemon Naomi, the following written document was submitted to Rōjū Kuze Yamato-no-kami Shigeyuki, who was in charge of the matter:
"Due to last night's fire, my residence was completely burned down, so I have moved to and am staying at the middle residence at Reiganjima. Under these circumstances, regarding the fact that my residence was burned in this fire, should there be any official decision to excuse me from the construction site duties, I earnestly wish to continue performing them as before. Please take note of this matter. I hereby convey my private intentions on this matter. I humbly request your favorable consideration in all respects.
The 23rd day of the 1st month, Matsudaira Iyo-no-kami"
1. On the same day, Princess Ume moved from Tentokuji Temple to the Asakusa residence of Nakatsukasa-no-taifu Masahira.
1. On the 24th day of the 1st month, [the lord] visited the Buddha hall at Zōjōji Temple, and then went to the construction site for inspection.
1. On the 25th day of the 1st month, [the lord] went to the castle (a written notice signed by all the rōjū had arrived the previous 24th day). There, with all the rōjū present, Abe Bungo-no-kami Masataka, who was on duty, conveyed the following through a written document:
"Matsudaira Iyo-no-kami
Although you are excused from assisting with the Buddha hall of Lord Yūshōin at Zōjōji Temple due to the fire damage to your residence..."
