一人家遠キ山中与見申候得者右之通鉄炮打候而
試候由若左様之時者上り候者共対兵器罷在
者ニ候左様之時者其乗候船兵器も候哉私具共ニ

一兵船とも不見商船とも不見時者何船とも未
相知不申候得共異国船とハ相見江候段御注進
能候由尤船之仕立及見候通有増被仰越猶
又追々御注進有之事
一兵船与慥ニ相見大勢乗鉄炮打取懸候様子ニ
候得者此方よりも大鉄炮にて打ちらし候事
一兵船にても沖に有之分ニ而ハ 御下知御請被成

一大筒ニ而万一打ちらし候時者先初ニハ百匁斗之
鉄炮能御座候由一所にて数多打候事者悪敷
御座候由所をかへ申候而うち申事能候由此等
現代語訳
一、人家から遠い山中と見える場合は、右の通り鉄砲を撃って試すという。もしそのような時は、上陸する者たちは武器を携帯している者である。そのような時は、その乗ってきた船にも兵器があるかどうか、装身具とともによくよく見届け、日本に対しての意図と思われる場合は、こちらから鉄砲を撃っても、状況次第では差し支えないという。また様子によっては御下知次第で対処されることもある。その場所をよくよく見計らうことが肝要である。
一、兵船とも見えず商船とも見えない時は、何の船とも未だ分からないが、異国船とは見えるという段階で御注進するのがよいという。もっとも船の仕立ての見えるところを詳細に申し上げ、なおまた追々御注進すること。
一、兵船と確実に見え、大勢が乗り鉄砲を撃ちかけてくる様子である場合は、こちらからも大鉄砲で打ち払うこと。
