近年登 城之節越前家其外諸大名方
刀持乱ニ御式台之上江揚候向後左之御書付
之外者揚候事無用ニ候切石之上ニ居候儀も
決而不相成候旨被申聞之

申さず候ようにと作法よく申し付け、道をもたげ片付け、通り者の障害にならぬよう申し付けるべく候。以上

近年登城の節、越前家その外諸大名方の刀持ちが乱れに御式台の上へ上がり候。向後左の御書付の外は上がり候こと無用に候。切石の上に居り候儀も決して相成らず候旨申し聞かされ之

Regarding the matter of attendants accompanying [lords] within and outside the castle, although instructions were issued in previous years, as conduct has become disorderly in recent years, the directives issued in the 12th year of Genroku, Year of the Rabbit, should be increasingly observed and enforced. On the same day, regarding this morning's official notification from Senior Inspector Naitō Hyūga no kami Masamine, when the house steward Miyakita Jūrōzaemon Sadayoshi went out to the residence, the following was communicated orally:
In recent years, during castle attendance, the sword bearers of the Echizen house and other daimyo families have been disorderly climbing up onto the ceremonial platform. Henceforth, except for those listed in the following document, climbing up is forbidden. Sitting on the cut stones is also absolutely not permitted, as was conveyed.
