一、同日、右同断につき御用番久世大和守（重之）殿の御用掛かり御老中水野和泉守（忠之）殿へ御届けのため、御使者御留守居宮北十郎左衛門（定由）を差し出された。
一、七月（日は詳らかでない）、屋敷奉行落合善兵衛（義忠）、高田孫左衛門（孝量）が、先達て屋敷替法式の儀についてその詳細を今度相定めた旨を相達したことにつき、御吟味の上、左の通り御定めの御書付を今朝御座所において善兵衛へ御家老稲葉采女（正方）が相渡した。
屋敷改めの定め
一、屋敷替えを仰せ付けられる節、本人が家を明け渡して立ち退きがあった時は、組の者どもを指し遣わして相改め、畳をはじめ全ての敷物に少しも手を付けていないはずである。すなわち屋敷奉行が罷り越して見分を仕るべきである。敷物の儀については、茶の間より奥、もっとも表座敷の分は畳敷きがあるべきこと。
ただし物置・小部屋の類は薄縁でも苦しくない。
茶の間より以下は薄縁でも筵でも苦しくない。右の屋敷を屋敷奉行へ受け取らせ本人へ相渡した以後、相対にて取り替える儀は敷物その外ともに勝手次第とすること。

One, on the same day, regarding the same matter, messenger and residential keeper Miyakita Jūrozaemon (Sadayoshi) was dispatched to report to Senior Councillor Mizuno Izumi-no-kami (Tadayuki), who was in charge of affairs under Duty Magistrate Kuze Yamato-no-kami (Shigeyuki).
One, in the 7th month (day not specified), Mansion Magistrates Ochiai Zenbei (Yoshitada) and Takada Magozaemon (Takakazu) reported that they had recently determined the details of mansion exchange procedures. After deliberation, the following regulations were written and this morning at the audience chamber, Senior Retainer Inaba Uneme (Masakata) handed them to Zenbei.
Regulations for Mansion Inspection
One, when a mansion exchange is ordered and the original occupant has vacated and moved out of the house, group members shall be dispatched to inspect, and the tatami mats and all floor coverings should be completely untouched. The mansion magistrate shall go and conduct an inspection. Regarding floor coverings, from the tea room to the inner rooms, and especially the formal reception rooms, should have tatami mat flooring.
However, for storage rooms and small rooms, thin-bordered mats are acceptable.
For areas below the tea room level, thin-bordered mats or straw mats are acceptable. After the mansion magistrate takes possession of said mansion and hands it over to the [new] occupant, any subsequent exchanges made through private negotiation regarding floor coverings and other items shall be at their own discretion.
