一子共又ハ兄弟ニ而も自分ニ御奉公相勤候者別
部屋建置同姓屋敷替之節引取申度旨断
有之時者其段御家老中江相達得指図相
渡可申候尤分部屋候節屋敷奉行迄断有之
時覚書ニ留置可申事
但隠居ニ而も兄弟ニ而も無息之者ハ部屋建置
候而も取申事難成定候乍去浪人之親
類願申上屋敷之内ニ別宅建住居候者
其部屋建候砌屋敷奉行江断留書有之
分ハ屋敷替之節御家老中江相達為取
可申候縦自分ニ御奉公相勤者ニ而も部屋本
屋ニ建続取候跡本屋損候歟勿論本屋之
内ニ而部屋有之分ハ渡不申筈候尤右之
部屋取候跡ハ能為繕請取可申事
一長屋之分敷物不残相渡可申候其外板敷
立具石板踏壇二階之梯子戸障子天井裏
板等迄少も手付不申其儘可為指置候惣而長

現代語訳
一、子供または兄弟であっても自分で御奉公を勤めている者が別部屋を建て置き、同姓屋敷替えの節に引き取りたい旨の申し出があった時は、その段を御家老中へ相談し、指図を得て相渡すべきである。もっとも分部屋の節は屋敷奉行まで申し出があった時は覚書に留め置くべきこと。
ただし隠居であっても兄弟であっても無禄の者は部屋を建て置いても取ることは難しい定めである。しかしながら浪人の親類が願い出て屋敷の内に別宅を建て住居している者で、その部屋を建てた砌に屋敷奉行へ申し出て留書のある分については、屋敷替えの節に御家老中へ相談して取るべきである。たとえ自分で御奉公を勤める者であっても、部屋を本屋に建て続けて取った跡に本屋が損じるか、もちろん本屋の内にて部屋のある分については渡してはならない。もっとも右の部屋を取った跡はよく繕って受け取るべきこと。
一、長屋の分は敷物を残さず相渡すべきである。その外、板敷・立具・石板・踏壇・二階の梯子・戸・障子・天井・裏板等まで少しも手を付けず、そのまま指し置くべきである。総じて長屋に付け置いた庇の分については一切取ってはならないこと。

One, regarding children or siblings who serve in official duty themselves and have built separate rooms, when there is a request to take them during a relocation of same-surname residences, that matter shall be reported to the senior retainers (karō) and handed over after receiving instructions. When separate rooms are involved, if there is a request to the estate magistrate, it shall be recorded in a memorandum.
However, whether retired persons or siblings, those without stipend cannot take rooms even if they have built them, as per regulations. Nevertheless, for those who are relatives of masterless samurai (rōnin) who have petitioned and built separate residences within the estate grounds, if there are written records with the estate magistrate from when those rooms were built, they may be taken after reporting to the senior retainers during estate relocation. Even if one serves in official duty themselves, if removing rooms built as extensions to the main house would damage the main house, or naturally if there are rooms within the main house, they shall not be transferred. The site where such rooms were removed must be properly repaired before handover.
One, regarding row houses (nagaya), floor coverings shall be transferred without leaving any behind. In addition, wooden floors, fixtures, stone slabs, stepping platforms, second-floor ladders, doors, sliding screens, ceilings, backing boards, etc., shall not be touched at all and left as they are. In general, eaves attached to row houses shall never be removed.
