看》罷出候処金銀通用之儀ニ付左之通御書
付被相渡之
新金銀を以当戌十一月より通用可仕覚
一金吹直被 仰付段々出来ニよりて最前相触
候通来亥年を限乾字金通用停止ニ候依之
向後諸色相対を以直段相極候半ハ格別献
上被下金又ハ給金借金払残金等すへて
前々ゟ定来候員数ニ而通用候儀左之通被
仰出候事
付乾字金にて何両与申取やり候得とも
当戌十一月より新金ニ而何両と申取や
り可仕候尤乾字金通用有之内ハ新
金之代りニ乾字金引替之法を以遣候
儀ハ勝手次第之事
一金ハ正味之有目ニ吹直され足金ニ不及候故
右之如く出来候得共銀ハ正味不足多有

閏十月
一、閏十月二十八日 御用番久世大和守重之殿より呼び出しがあり、御留守居大関新五左衛門直看が出向いたところ、金銀通用の件について左の通り御書付を渡された
新金銀をもって当戌十一月より通用すべき覚
一、金の吹き直しを仰せ付けられ段々出来につき、最前触れ候通り来亥年を限りに乾字金通用を停止する。これにより今後諸色相対をもって値段を決める場合は格別だが、献上・下賜金又は給金・借金・支払残金等すべて前々より定まり来たった員数にて通用する件を左の通り仰せ出される
付け加えて、乾字金にて何両と申し取りやりしても、当戌十一月より新金にて何両と申し取りやりすべし。もっとも乾字金通用がある内は、新金の代わりに乾字金引き替えの法をもって遣わすことは勝手次第のこと
一、金は正味の有目に吹き直され足金には及ばない故、右の如く出来たが、銀は正味不足が多くあり

1. Intercalary October 28th: There was a summons from Goyōban Kuze Yamato-no-kami Shigeyuki, and when Goryūsui Ōseki Shingozaemon Naotaka went to attend, he was given the following written notice regarding the matter of gold and silver currency circulation:
Memorandum that new gold and silver shall be put into circulation from the 11th month of this year of the Dog
1. Regarding the recoining of gold that was ordered, due to gradual progress, as previously announced, the circulation of kan-character gold will cease at the end of the coming year of the Boar. Accordingly, henceforth when determining prices through mutual agreement for various goods shall be exceptional, but for tribute payments, granted money, stipends, loans, outstanding payments, etc., all shall circulate according to the amounts that have been established since long ago, as declared below:
In addition, even if transactions were conducted saying "how many ryō" in kan-character gold, from the 11th month of this year of the Dog, transactions shall be conducted saying "how many ryō" in new gold. Of course, while kan-character gold remains in circulation, using the method of exchanging kan-character gold in place of new gold is a matter of personal discretion.
1. Gold has been recoined to its actual weight and does not require pure gold, hence it has been completed as described above, but silver has many instances of insufficient purity.
