めくる事唯一のまよひなり
をよそ人間のあたなる事を
案するに人更に若き事なし
終には老と成物をか程はかなき

生死に輪廻し、五道六道を
巡ることは、ただ一つの迷いである。
およそ人間の哀れなることを
考えてみると、人はさらに若いことはない。
終には老いとなるものを、かほど儚き
夢の世を、なぜ厭わないのか。我ながら

the five realms and six paths—
this is but a single delusion.
When I contemplate the pitiful nature
of human existence, there is nothing more fleeting than youth.
In the end all becomes old age—why do we not
despise this ephemeral world of dreams? Even I myself
