Wishing to search for those who had drowned, we also asked the people to help, and they agreed. Together we searched the sea and retrieved the bodies of all five, giving them temporary burial on that island. I believe it was about one ri across the sea. From the words that the local people told us, considering various things ourselves and discerning through gestures and such, the name of that country is Batan, apparently about twenty to thirty ri long and three to four ri wide.
