一親願ニ而追放之忰呼戻申度願之事
　一文政十二丑十月波々伯部八十八忰勇助去ル文政十亥年不所存者ニ付八十八願之上致追放候処
　心底も相改候趣ニ付此度呼戻申度旨口上書を以相願候処願之通被仰付候尤右呼戻度願者

　　但右勇助儀ハ最初上ゟ御沙汰も可有之位之処夫ゟ以前願之上致追放候事故此度
　　　御免被成候事内実ハ出奔之趣ニ而出懸候を召連来り直ニ追放之願差出候也

　願候儀ニ候得ハ願之通被仰付可然旨申達候事是迄御在府中ニハ江戸表へ被相伺候得共迚も
　其親相願候事ニ候得ハ御間ニ合不申者故今度ハ不被相伺被申渡候旨被申聞候且又権左衛門遠慮
　相伺可申候左候ハヽ如何可被仰付哉与御評議ニ付権左衛門ニハ何も子細不相聞候間不及其儀旨被

現代語訳

並びに懐中物は会所預かりの堀長兵衛と相談して惣左衛門へ引き渡すよう、徒目付の矢村甚左衛門へ申し付けた。

　一、享和3年（亥年）10月　永見六郎右衛門養子式部が先般追放となった際に取り上げとなった大小・懐中物を頂戴したい旨、同名の志津摩を通じて内々に届け出があったため、家老中へ伺ったところ、届け出の通り取り扱うよう申し聞かされたので、手紙をもって六郎右衛門方へ申し越し、明日四時に勘定所へ受け取りに差し出すよう申し遣わした。これにより明日受け取りに出てきた場合はよく取り計らうよう徒目付の伴五郎左衛門へ申し聞かせ、なおまた堀長兵衛へも相談するよう申し聞かせたところ、即座に請け取りに出てきたため立ち会って大小・懐中物等を渡した旨を五郎左衛門が申し聞かせた《六郎右衛門の家来から受取書があった》

一、親の願いによる追放の息子を呼び戻したいという願いの件
　一、文政12年（丑年）10月　波々伯部八十八の息子勇助について、去る文政10年（亥年）に不心得者であったため八十八の願いにより追放したところ、心底も改まった様子であるため、この度呼び戻したい旨を口上書をもって願い出たところ、願いの通り申し付けられた。もっともこの呼び戻したいという願い主は、八十八の次男九兵衛《初名他吉》が家督を継いでからの願いである。
　　ただしこの勇助については、最初は上からお咎めもあるべきところであったが、それ以前に願いにより追放したため、この度お許しになったのである。内実は出奔の様子で出かけたのを連れ戻し、直ちに追放の願いを差し出したのである。

一、天保2年（卯年）7月8日　坂井権左衛門が左の通り願書を差し出した。
　縦物　私の息子久弥が不埒なことがございましたので、お願い申し上げて国内追放いたしたく候。兼ねてより異見等の仕方もございましたでしょうが、行き届かず恐れ入ります。この等の趣を家老中まで宜しくお伝えください。以上

　これを用番の松平主馬方のお宅へ差し出したため、同役で評議して申し達するよう申し聞かされた。よってこれを評議したところ、願い出た件であるから願いの通り申し付けるのが然るべき旨を申し達した。これまで在府中には江戸表へ伺いを立てたが、とても親が願い出ることであるから間に合わないので、今度は伺いを立てずに申し渡した旨を申し聞かされた。また権左衛門の遠慮を伺うべきかどうか、どのように申し付けるべきかと評議になったため、権左衛門には何も事情を聞いていないので及ばない旨を申し渡すのが然るべきで、追って事情もあれば上からお咎めを申し付けるのが然るべき旨を同役からは申し達したが、家老中の評議の上、権左衛門の遠慮伺いを差し出した際に指し控えを申し付けられた。三日か。

一、天保5年（午年）6月23日　子供・弟等の願いによって国を立ち退く際の遠慮伺いの件について、左の通り評議を決定した。
　一、私から願って子供・弟等が国を立ち退いた上で、自分が恐れ入って遠慮等を伺った際、事情がなければ差し控えを申し付ける筈
　一、実家の親・兄弟等が右と同じ趣で遠慮を伺った際、これまた事情がなければ及ばない旨を即刻申し付ける筈
　　ただし御近習の面々であれば、留守年には即刻右と同じ、在国であればお聞きに達してお心積もりを伺った上で及ばない旨を仰せ出される筈。その他他家の親類は、たとえ伯父甥・兄弟の続きであっても遠慮伺いを差し出す必要はなく、養子・実子とも其の家元のみが伺いを差し出す筈。しかし実家の当主は親子兄弟に限らず、たとえ伯父甥等の続き合いであっても伺いを差し出す筈。

When this was consulted with the senior retainers, they instructed to handle it as petitioned, so a letter was sent to Rokurōemon's residence instructing them to send someone to the accounting office at 4 o'clock the next day to receive the items. Accordingly, foot inspector Ban Gorozaemon was instructed to handle it well when they came to receive them the next day, and Hori Chōbē was also told to consult about it. When they immediately came to receive the items, he witnessed the handover of swords, personal effects, etc., as reported by Gorozaemon 《There was a receipt from Rokurōemon's retainer》

1. Regarding petitions by parents to recall banished sons
　1. Bunsei 12th year (Year of the Ox), 10th month: Regarding Yūsuke, son of Hababe Yasohachi, who was banished in Bunsei 10th year (Year of the Boar) due to being ill-behaved upon Yasohachi's petition, a verbal petition was submitted stating that his disposition seemed to have reformed and requesting to recall him this time. This was granted as petitioned. Note that the petitioner for this recall was Yasohachi's second son Kubē 《originally named Takichi》, who had become the family head.
　　However, regarding this Yūsuke, initially there should have been official punishment from above, but since the petition for banishment was submitted beforehand, pardon was granted this time. In reality, he had gone out as if absconding, was brought back, and the petition for banishment was immediately submitted.

1. Tenpō 2nd year (Year of the Rabbit), 7th month, 8th day: Sakai Gonzaemon submitted the following petition:
　Vertical document: Since my son Hisaya has committed improper acts, I petition to banish him from within the domain. Although there should have been methods of admonition beforehand, I failed to achieve this and am deeply ashamed. Please kindly convey this matter to the senior retainers. The above.

　This was submitted to the residence of duty officer Matsudaira Shuma, so colleagues were instructed to deliberate and report. Upon deliberation, since this was a petition, it was reported that it should be granted as requested. Until now, during residence in Edo, inquiries were made to Edo, but since this was a parent's petition and would not be in time, this time it was conveyed without making inquiry. Also, regarding whether Gonzaemon's self-restraint should be inquired about and how it should be handled, although colleagues reported that since no circumstances were heard from Gonzaemon, such measures were unnecessary and if circumstances arose later, punishment from above would be appropriate, after deliberation by the senior retainers, when Gonzaemon submitted his self-restraint inquiry, restraint was ordered for three days.

1. Tenpō 5th year (Year of the Horse), 6th month, 23rd day: Regarding self-restraint inquiries when children, younger brothers, etc. leave the domain upon petition, the following deliberation was decided:
　1. When I petition for children, younger brothers, etc. to leave the domain and then submit self-restraint inquiries out of shame, if there are no special circumstances, restraint shall be ordered
　1. When parents and siblings of the birth family submit self-restraint inquiries for the same reason, if there are also no special circumstances, immediate orders that such measures are unnecessary shall be issued
　　However, for those in close attendance, during absence years this shall be immediate as above; during residence in the domain, after conveying to His Lordship and inquiring about his intentions, orders that such measures are unnecessary shall be issued. For relatives of other families, even if they are uncles, nephews, or brothers, self-restraint inquiries need not be submitted - only the head of that family, whether adoptive or birth, shall submit inquiries. However, the current head of the birth family shall submit inquiries regardless of parent-child or sibling relationships, even if they are uncle-nephew or other family connections.
