一寛延四未三月廿二日御番頭嶋田清左衛門へ本多民部方被申渡候ハ御番組青山久内甥勘次郎
　儀実父御暇被下候節幼年ニ付拾五歳迄久内方ニ差置候様被仰付候処今年十三歳ニ罷成候
　畢竟難見放者ニ御座候間直ニ養育仕度旨相願候処勝手次第仕候様可申渡旨被申

　　但勘次郎実父青山仙右衛門先年髪を剃御門払ニ被仰付候事
一寛政二戌八月六日大井弥十郎相願候ハ同姓小笠原孫次郎儀今度御国立入御免被成候
　ニ付此間私方へ罷越候処私実甥菊次郎与申者致同道罷越候右菊次郎儀幼年之者

　聞候処不及其儀差越可申旨ニ候依之小源吾儀以後他国へ差出候儀藤七方ゟ相達申ニ及間敷哉と相伺候処是又
　不及其儀旨庄兵衛方被申聞候間承置候様ニと申聞　但右宝積院ハ平之丞妻之弟ニ付去月廿九日妻幷娘三人ハ藤七

左衛門が願書を差し出し、新番頭が御家老中へ届け出た節、松平主馬方が申し聞かせたのは、右の通り口上書をもって願い出たので、願いの通り申し付ける。今後右の類があれば御目付が承知しておくよう田辺五太夫へ申し聞かせた

一、御暇を下された者の妻子等を親類縁者の内へ引き取る事は月番へ御家老中が届け出て指図次第引き取るべし
　この段早速申し渡し、追って御耳に達すべき定め
　　ただし侍中以外の末々は目付中へその主人その支配から断りを入れるべき事

一、寛政11年（未年）8月、内田惣左衛門方へ津田伝七の子共を引き取り置いたところ、丸岡の医師■屋玄仙方へ
　　　女子1人を差し出した事。この節口上書を差し出した

一、寛延4年（未年）3月22日、御番頭嶋田清左衛門へ本多民部方が申し渡したのは、御番組青山久内の甥勘次郎の
　件で、実父に御暇を下された節幼年につき15歳まで久内方に差し置くよう仰せ付けられたところ、今年13歳になった。
　とても見放し難い者でございますので、直に養育したい旨願い出たところ、勝手次第にするよう申し渡すべき旨申し
　聞かせた
　　ただし勘次郎の実父青山仙右衛門は先年髪を剃り御門払いを仰せ付けられた事

一、寛政2年（戌年）8月6日、大井弥十郎が願い出たのは、同姓小笠原孫次郎の件で今度御国立ち入り御免になった
　につき、この間私方へ参ったところ、私の実甥菊次郎という者が同道して参った。右菊次郎の件、幼年の者で
　虚弱で病身でございますにつき、当時私方で養育したく願い出た由を口上書をもって申し聞かせたにつき、その段御家
　老中へ申し達したところ、勝手次第養育するよう御家老中が申し聞かせた

一、文化元年（子年）2月16日
　長谷川源之進が願い出たのは、実兄津田伝右衛門の養子
　栄五郎の件で、先年願いの上御国立ち入り御免を成し下されたところ、
　御城下住居御免を成し下されるよう願い出た。これにより願いの通り
　御城下住居御免を成し下され、その段源之進へ申し渡すべき旨

一、陪臣の家名断絶につき家内の者をそれぞれ引き取りたい旨達する件は家来の咎の条に出ている

一、享保15年（戌年）2月29日、井原丞助が届け出たのは、岡半右衛門の姪聟羽中田新七が先年御暇を下されたその折、当歳の息子があり半右衛門
　方へ引き取り差し置いて【朱書き】御用部屋留では男なりに作る　長岡段弥と申す者が当年15歳になった。他国へも差し出すべき件でございますが、御暇を下された以後新七の件で不
　届きがあり上から久しく離別を仰せ付けられた。よって新七は只今行方が分からない。右段弥の件、他国へ差し出すべき方がございません。将来
　医者にしたく存じ奉る段を口上書をもって願い御家老中へ届け出たところ、医者・出家等にする件は勝手次第にするよう申し聞かせた
　　ただし右段弥の件、同年6月【朱書き】25日　御家督の大赦にお勘気を願いの上御免。右お勘気御免の上は俗になっても差し支えない旨同
　　晦日御用番修理方が申し聞かせた記録がある。然るところ同17年（子年）4月29日、丸岡の医師竹内玄貞という者が左衛門佐殿
　　から7人扶持を給わっている者の由。この者に内縁もあるにつき段弥を養子に貰いたい旨申し聞かせたにつき、やりたい段を半右衛門が申し聞かせ御家老
　　中へ伺ったところ、口上書を差し出すにも及ばず御目付が承知しておくよう申し聞かせた

一、同20年（卯年）12月16日、佐野又太郎が申し聞かせたのは、拙者の御番組酒井藤七手許に差し置いた、11月16日御暇を下された酒井平之丞の息子小源吾の件で、丸岡神明別当宝
　積院方へ差し遣わしたい旨、先日願い申し達したところ、右小源吾の件、当分預け置く趣で差し越すよう藤七へ申し聞かせるべき旨を松平庄兵衛方が申し
　聞かせたところ、その件に及ばず差し越すべき旨にて、これにより小源吾の件、以後他国へ差し出す件を藤七方から届け出る必要はないかと伺ったところ、これまた
　その件に及ばない旨を庄兵衛方が申し聞かせたので承知しておくようにと申し聞かせ　ただし右宝積院は平之丞の妻の弟につき去月29日妻並びに娘3人は藤七
　から願いの上宝積院へ引き取った。息子小源吾の件も同院へ一緒に願い出て差し出したところ、丸岡にて宝積院の願いの筋の埒が明かないにつき

Kan'en 4 (Year of the Sheep), 3rd month, 22nd day: What was communicated to unit captain Shimada Seizaemon by Honda Minbu's office concerned Aoyama Kyūnai's nephew Kanjirō, whose biological father had been granted dismissal. Due to his young age, he was ordered to remain at Kyūnai's residence until age 15, but this year he turned 13. As he is truly someone who cannot be abandoned, a petition was made to adopt him directly. It was communicated that this could be done at their discretion.
However, Kanjirō's biological father Aoyama Sen'emon had his head shaved and was ordered expelled from the domain in previous years.

1. Kansei 2 (Year of the Dog), 8th month, 6th day: Ōi Yajūrō petitioned regarding his relative Ogasawara Magojirō, who had been granted permission to enter the domain. When he came to my residence during this period, my actual nephew named Kikujirō accompanied him. Regarding this Kikujirō, as he is young, frail, and sickly, a petition was made through oral statement to care for him at my residence at this time. When this matter was reported to the senior councilors, they communicated that he could be cared for at their discretion.

Hasegawa Gen'noshin petitioned regarding Eigo, the adopted son of his biological elder brother Tsuda Den'emon.
Having been granted permission to enter the domain upon petition in previous years,
he now petitioned to be granted permission to reside in the castle town. Accordingly, as petitioned,
permission to reside in the castle town was granted, and this matter should be communicated to Gen'noshin.

Kyōhō 15 (Year of the Dog), 2nd month, 29th day: Ihara Jōsuke reported on Nagaoka Dan'ya, the son of Oka Han'emon's nephew-in-law Hanakada Shinshichi, who had been granted dismissal in previous years. When he petitioned the other day to send him to Hōseki-in, the head priest of Shinmei Shrine in Maruoka, Matsudaira Shōbei's office communicated that Tōshichi should be told to send him as a temporary placement.
