現代語訳
一 明和六年丑年五月六日、江戸から謹慎として取り扱い、当地で謹慎中に病死し御免となり、息子安之助が五十日忌明けに家督を間違いなく下された。八百里の案ずるところでは、この条項は理解しがたい。
一 御咎を受けた者の妻子等の病気について、親類の家で謹慎させることについては「御咎ニ付諸事之部」に記載されている。
一 享和元年酉年三月十七日、吉倉茂右衛門が申し聞かせたことには、関彦輔に遠慮を命じ謹慎しているところ、現在雇っている女中が昨夜から急に病気を発し、放置しがたいため、今日毛矢町の親元である八百屋五兵衛という者の所へ下宿させる旨を届け出た。
一 同日、御奉行河合太郎太夫が申し聞かせたことには、小算用岩崎九郎左衛門の老母が病気のため針医に依頼して療治していたところ、先日まで同居していた村上彦八郎に押込を命じたため療治を止めていたが、この度病状が良くないため、彦八郎は押込中であるが療治のこと、また様子により本道医等に依頼し薬を服用させたい旨を口上書で届け出たと申し聞かせた。同役と相談し、療養のことなので勝手次第に命じてよい旨を伝えた。
一 同年七月十日、津田藤左衛門が申し聞かせたことには、私の親《割書：蟄居中である》が眼病を患っているため願い申し上げ、村上三悦に療治を依頼する旨を届け出、三悦も出向く旨を届け出た。
一 同年八月二十三日、山本清右衛門の御咎中のところ、家来が病気のため暇を与えて宿元へ返したい旨を、通路武田太郎左衛門が口上書で申し聞かせたため、勝手次第にするよう挨拶した。
一 同月二十八日、武田太郎左衛門が申し聞かせたことには、山本清右衛門の遠慮中、家内の者が急病を発して困っているため、隣家の医師高畠長哲に依頼したい旨を申し聞かせた。差し迫った急病のことなので勝手次第にするよう挨拶した。しかし翌日になっても良くならないため、毎日療治をしたい旨を太郎左衛門が申し聞かせたので、その件を承知し、機会があるときに御家老中へ話をした。
一 文化三年寅年六月、永見志津摩が申し聞かせたことには、権太彦兵衛の閉門中のところ、娘が病気のため町医師江川大助に薬を服用させたい旨を、通路大藤三郎兵衛が願った通りに命じられた。よって大助が同道し、三郎兵衛が彦兵衛の所へ出向く旨の往来を届け出た。
但し町奉行からも大助の口上書が提出され、願いの通りに命じられた旨を申し聞かせ、大助も通路同道で彦兵衛の所への往来を一度届け出た。
一 同年七月十六日、権田彦兵衛の通路大河原助右衛門が口上書で申し聞かせたことには、彦兵衛の所で今春から召し使っている下女が季候に障って良くないため、何かの宿へ下げたい旨を伝えてきた。差し迫ったことなので勝手次第にするよう月番三郎兵衛が返答した。もっとも退去の際は門前まで組の者が見送るのでそのように心得よと伝え、玄関番の者一人を彦兵衛の門前まで派遣し、退去を見届けて帰るよう命じた。この下女は杉田権之助組の薗倉与兵衛の娘で、病気に間違いなく、親の与兵衛が近所まで迎えに来て連れ帰った旨を申し聞かせ、御家老中へは機会があるときに話をした。
一 文化十三年子年八月二十日、御先物頭小木藤右衛門に閉門を命じたところ、それ以前から召し使っている下女が病気で宿へ下がっている旨を、通路榊原小太郎が届け出たため、その件を御家老中へ機会があるときに話をした。しかし二十二日に右の下女が回復したため藤右衛門の所へ呼び寄せたい旨を小太郎が申し聞かせたため、二十二日朝にその件を御家老中へ話し、夕方小太郎が来た際に右の下女を藤右衛門の所へ遣わした。その際見届けのため玄関番の者を派遣したところ、下女に間違いなく、なお宿元・名元を確認して帰り報告した。
一 文化八年未年十二月二十二日、恒岡右仲太が申し聞かせたことには、私の御番組の岩上荒次郎の養父梶太夫が先年蟄居を命じられているところ、痛む箇所があるため御匕医師舟岡周伯・町外科原道達へ療治を依頼したいと口上書で願い出た。

One: On the 17th day of the 3rd month of Kyōwa 1, Year of the Rooster, Yoshikura Shigeemon reported that Seki Hikosuke had been ordered into house restraint and was maintaining discipline, but a maidservant currently employed suddenly became ill from last night and could not be left unattended, so today she was sent to lodge with her family home, one Yaoya Gohei in Keya-machi.
One: On the same day, Magistrate Kawai Tarōdayū reported that the elderly mother of Minor Accountant Iwasaki Kurōzaemon was ill and being treated by an acupuncturist, but since Murakami Hikohachirō, who had been living with them until recently, was ordered into confinement, treatment was stopped. However, since her condition is now poor, although Hikohachirō remains confined, they requested through a written statement to arrange treatment and, depending on circumstances, to consult regular physicians and administer medicine. After consulting with colleagues, since this concerned medical treatment, we conveyed that they could proceed at their discretion.
One: On the 10th day of the 7th month of the same year, Tsuda Tōzaemon reported that his father {{interlinear: currently under house arrest}} was suffering from eye disease, so he petitioned to request treatment from Murakami San'etsu, and also reported that San'etsu would visit.

One: In the 6th month of Bunka 3, Year of the Tiger, Nagami Shizuma reported that during Gonda Hikobei's house confinement, his daughter became ill and they wished town physician Egawa Daisuke to administer medicine, which was granted as petitioned by liaison Ōfuji Saburōbei. Therefore, Daisuke accompanied Saburōbei to visit Hikobei's residence, for which travel permission was reported.
However: The Town Magistrate also submitted Daisuke's written statement, reporting that the petition was granted as requested, and Daisuke also once reported travel to Hikobei's residence accompanying the liaison.
One: On the 16th day of the 7th month of the same year, Gonda Hikobei's liaison Ōkawara Sukeemon reported through a written statement that a maidservant employed at Hikobei's since this spring was affected by the season and unwell, so they wished to send her to some lodging. This maidservant was the daughter of Sonokura Yohei from Sugita Gonnosuke's group, definitely ill, and her father Yohei came to the neighborhood to take her home. We mentioned this to the Senior Councilors when the opportunity arose.
One: On the 20th day of the 8th month of Bunka 13, Year of the Rat, Advance Guard Captain Ogi Tōemon was ordered into house confinement, but a maidservant employed previously was ill and staying at her lodgings. Liaison Sakakibara Kotarō reported this, so we mentioned the matter to the Senior Councilors when the opportunity arose. However, on the 22nd, since the maidservant had recovered, Kotarō requested to summon her back to Tōemon's residence. On the morning of the 22nd, we mentioned this to the Senior Councilors, and when Kotarō came that evening, we sent the maidservant to Tōemon's residence. At that time, we dispatched a gatekeeper for confirmation, and after verifying it was indeed the maidservant and confirming her lodging and registration details, he returned and reported.
One: On the 22nd day of the 12th month of Bunka 8, Year of the Sheep, Tsuneoka Unakada reported that Kajidayū, the adoptive father of Iwagami Arajirō from his guard unit, had been ordered into house arrest in previous years, but having painful ailments, petitioned through a written statement to request treatment from court physician Funaoka Shūhaku and town surgeon Hara Dōtatsu.
