一天保四巳六月十六日浦井五兵衛養子鍋四郎御国立退被仰付五兵衛儀も遠慮被仰付候節
黒沢延次郎儀五兵衛実甥ニ付伺可差出処実父鱸九郎右衛門忌掛りニ付親類湯俣
弥五右衛門を以伺差出候事
一右同節鱸長次郎儀も五兵衛甥之処親九郎右衛門忌中ニ而未た長次郎へ家督不被仰
付以前故其節ハ遠慮伺不差出同廿九日家督被仰付候上伺差出候事
但私云家督以前続合之者御咎御免被成候ハヽ追而家督後ニ伺差出ニ及申間

但右子細ハ去ル十九日五時鉄之助御通番出勤可致処途中ゟ病気差発り出勤無之早速
右訳合触頭へ相達病気とハ乍申遅刻ニ相成御間を欠候事故遠慮等相伺可申哉与
相伺触頭差図を得筆頭を以番頭へ遠慮伺可差出処触頭ヘハ鉄之助ゟ病気之訳
合且不参之儀も一向不相達昼時頃茂右衛門方へ参り右之趣申達伺書差出候ニ付茂右衛門儀も
触頭等へ達通りも相済候哉鉄之助へ承糺候上ニ而取次可申処無其儀直ニ番頭へ差出六左衛門
御用番岡部左膳方へ持参候処彼是もつれニ相成同役へ御評議掛り候故承調候処右之
訳合ニ付鉄之助差出候伺書ハ被相返上ゟ別段ニ遠慮被仰付六左衛門茂右衛門儀も取扱筋

伺事
一、天保四年六月十六日、浦井五兵衛の養子鍋四郎が御国立退を仰せ付けられ、五兵衛も遠慮を仰せ付けられた節、黒沢延次郎は五兵衛の実甥であるため伺いを差し出すべきところ、実父鱸九郎右衛門が忌掛かりであったため、親類湯俣弥五右衛門をもって伺いを差し出した。
一、右同節、鱸長次郎も五兵衛の甥であったが、親の九郎右衛門が忌中であり、まだ長次郎へ家督を仰せ付けられていない以前であったため、その節は遠慮伺いを差し出さず、同二十九日に家督を仰せ付けられた上で伺いを差し出した。
但し私見では、家督以前に続き合いの者の御咎めが御免になった場合、追って家督後に伺いを差し出すに及ばないのではないか。
一、天保十二年九月十一日、役儀の誓紙を仰せ付けられた節に出勤しなかった沢田幸太夫が、伺いの上遠慮を仰せ付けられた。なお諸役誓詞の部に出ている。
一、御歓書状失念により遠慮を伺う事は恐悦の部に出ている。稲葉敬次郎。
一、文政十三年八月二十二日、矢野鉄之助が遠慮を仰せ付けられた件により、大御番頭中川六左衛門、同筆頭加藤茂右衛門が遠慮伺いを差し出したところ、差し控えを仰せ付けられた。なお鉄之助の事は御咎めの節同居の部に出ている。
但し右の子細は、去る十九日五時に鉄之助が御通番出勤すべきところ、途中から病気が発症して出勤せず、早速右の訳合を触頭へ相達したが、病気とはいえ遅刻になり御間を欠いたことゆえ遠慮等を相伺うべきかと相伺い、触頭の差図を得て筆頭をもって番頭へ遠慮伺いを差し出すべきところ、触頭へは鉄之助から病気の訳合かつ不参の儀も一向相達せず、昼時頃茂右衛門方へ参り右の趣を申し達し伺書を差し出したため、茂右衛門も触頭等への達通りも済んだか鉄之助へ承り糺した上で取り次ぐべきところ、その儀なく直に番頭へ差し出し、六左衛門が御用番岡部左膳方へ持参したところ、あれこれもつれになり同役へ御評議がかかったため承り調べたところ、右の訳合により鉄之助が差し出した伺書は返され、上から別段に遠慮を仰せ付けられ、六左衛門・茂右衛門も取扱筋が不念であったため右の通り遠慮伺いを差し出した。
一、文化九年五月四日、下坂市左衛門の養家の従弟梶川喜左衛門が御咎めを仰せ付けられたことにより遠慮伺いを差し出したが、その儀に及ばない旨を申し渡された。
一、享和三年十月二十六日、御目付今村伝兵衛組の天谷甚左衛門という者が御触れの儀により不念の趣があり押込を仰せ付けられた。私は恐れ入り存じ奉る。よって私は指し控え罷り在りたい旨を相達したところ、その儀に及ばない旨を仰せ出された。
一、組の者が御咎めを仰せ付けられたことにより親類共が慎み伺いの儀は、組の者御咎めの部に出ている。
一、文化六年二月、御水主組池田茂太夫が出奔したところを召し連れ来たり、その後御扶持を召し放たれ、小頭初め御咎めがあったため、頭の周防長兵衛が伺いの上差し控えを仰せ付けられた。なお出奔の条に出ている。
一、同年二月十六日、御小道具の者・御駕部屋の者が博奕により御咎めを仰せ付けられ、御供頭が差し控え伺いをしたところ、その儀に及ばない旨。
一、文化二年四月、磯野多宮が当番のところ、十七日御出殿の節に服穢御改の申し通し方に不念の趣があったため、伺いの上差し控えを仰せ付けられた。
一、文化四年十二月、御咎めがあった節、一統格大谷嘉順が慎み伺いを差し出したところ、一統格であれば御家老中へ可相

Inquiry Matters
1. On June 16th, Tenpō 4th year, when Urai Gohee's adopted son Nabeshirō was ordered to retire from the domain and Gohee was also ordered discretionary confinement, Kurosawa Nobujirō, being Gohee's actual nephew, should have submitted an inquiry, but since his birth father Suzuki Kurōemon was in mourning, relative Yumata Yagōemon submitted the inquiry on his behalf.

At the same time, Suzuki Chōjirō was also Gohee's nephew, but since his father Kurōemon was in mourning and Chōjirō had not yet been granted family headship, no discretionary confinement inquiry was submitted at that time. After being granted family headship on the 29th of the same month, he submitted the inquiry.

On August 22nd, Bunsei 13th year, regarding Yano Tetsunosuke being ordered discretionary confinement, senior guard commander Nakagawa Rokuzaemon and senior clerk Katō Shigeemon submitted discretionary confinement inquiries and were ordered to refrain. Tetsunosuke's matter appears in the section on cohabitation during punishment.
The details are as follows: on the 19th at five o'clock, when Tetsunosuke should have reported for guard duty, he fell ill en route and did not report for duty. He immediately reported this situation to the duty leader, but although it was illness, it constituted tardiness and created a gap in guard duty, so they inquired whether discretionary confinement should be sought. Following the duty leader's guidance, the inquiry should have been submitted to the unit commander through the senior clerk, but Tetsunosuke failed to properly inform the duty leader about his illness and absence. Around noon, he went to Shigeemon and reported this, submitting an inquiry document. Shigeemon should have confirmed with Tetsunosuke whether communications with the duty leader had been completed before proceeding, but without doing so, he submitted it directly to the unit commander. When Rokuzaemon brought it to duty officer Okabe Sazen, complications arose and the matter was referred to colleagues for consultation. Upon investigation, Tetsunosuke's inquiry document was returned due to these circumstances, and he was separately ordered discretionary confinement from above. Rokuzaemon and Shigeemon also submitted discretionary confinement inquiries due to negligent handling of the matter.
