出奔候処召連来親始口上書ニ小兵衛口上書差添御国立入之儀御免相願候得共御取揚無之候
御国追放御法之通被仰付候ニ付小十郎へ申渡候節為立合役組両人忍組小頭宅へ差遣且又
御追放為見届両人遣候処小十郎大病至極ニ付難為立退如何可致哉と小兵衛ゟ相伺候ニ付夜
中之儀故承置翌朝親甚左衛門始親類共口上書ニ小兵衛添口上書を以願申候処御預相
願尚又為遂吟味候処相違も無之趣ニ付御家老中へ相達御追放差延候処十二月廿四日

申渡候処持病再発仕不所存乱心同様之趣ニ御座候ニ付一向申方相分り不申故無拠病気鎮り候迄見合申
度旨先達而御達申上候然処右病気ニ而弥以不所存之趣申募候故私取扱方も無御座此上何卒御憐愍
之上御上ゟ右喜平次与申者御追放被仰付被下置候様奉願候ケ様之儀申上候儀不調法至極恐入奉存候此等之趣

一明和四亥十一月十二日於江戸今十二日千住筋へ御成被遊御門前通御被遊候処還御之節中ノ口【玄関と台所口との間にある入口】へ御案内致失念候段不調法ニ付
押込被仰付候処同十八日御中老を以被仰渡候ハ伊左衛門儀御扶持をも可被召放程之事ニ候へ共御憐愍之上御充行被相減七石二人扶持被

願い、なお吟味を遂げさせたところ相違もない趣きにつき御家老中へ相達し御追放を差し延べたところ、十二月二十四日
に至り親類共から医師の申し口等をもってまだ快気せず越年養生をしたい旨相願った由、小兵衛が
申し聞き、同役評議の上御家老中へ御物語し願いの通り仰せ付けられ、なお小十郎快気次第御追放仰せ
付けらるべき旨を小兵衛へ申し達した

の上御上から右喜平次と申す者御追放仰せ付け下し置かれるよう願い奉る。かような儀申し上げる儀は不調法至極恐れ入り奉る。これらの趣き

右の通り差し出したけれども最初から毎度相願い甚だ如何しく候間、同役限りにて右口上書を八郎右衛門へ相返し、なお御先物頭仲間中
とよく申し談ずる儀然るべき旨挨拶したところ、同二十五日御先物頭月番両人また口上書を差し出した
相沢八郎右衛門組 中略 いよいよ不所存の趣きが募るため、また八郎右衛門が御達し申し上げる義も恐れ入り奉るため、これにより私共申し談じ追放申し
付けたい品によっては召し捕った上相願う筋もあるべく候えば、私共組の者を指し遣わし八郎右衛門組と申し談じさせ取り扱う節、各様御組
の者を差し添え下されるよう御取り扱いなされ下されるべく候。以上

一、元文三午十一月二十一日、三の丸時打ち下役、腹痛眩暈にて覚え違い六つを両度打ち、町奉行土屋十郎右衛門にて押込み置いた由、御家老中へ相伺ったところ、病気
の儀にも候間この度はその通りに差し免し、以後相慎むよう申し付けるべき旨申し聞かれた。但し御目付取次
一、明和四亥十一月十二日、江戸において今十二日千住筋へ御成り遊ばされ御門前通り御被り遊ばされたところ、還御の節中の口【玄関と台所口との間にある入口】へ御案内致し失念した段、不調法につき
押込み仰せ付けられたところ、同十八日御中老をもって仰せ渡されたのは、伊左衛門の儀御扶持をも召し放たるべきほどの事に候えども御憐愍の上御充行を相減じ七石二人扶持を下し
置かれ当分浮組に仰せ付けられ末に相応の御入人に申し付けるよう申し渡された旨

conspired with this person and absconded. When this was heard, last month he was entrusted to his father Bunzaemon and investigated by group officials,
and there was no discrepancy. He confessed that he had been asked by these women to help them, so as the son of a minor servant who helped colleagues abscond,
this was extremely improper conduct, and he was ordered expelled from the castle town and five ri in all directions.
However, when Saburōemon's group sub-head conveyed this to Bunji, two members of the duty group were sent to Saburōemon's group sub-head to witness,
and Saburōemon's group sub-head made the announcement. As Bunji was to leave immediately, two group members were sent to confirm,
and he settled at the residence of rice merchant Saemon in Akemachi, Fuchū side post town.
1. Bunka 5 (Year of the Dragon), 10th month, 25th day: Kumagai Kohei's charge, ninja Kumai Jinzaemon's third son Kojūrō, who had
absconded five years earlier, was brought back. His father and others submitted a petition with Kohei's written statement requesting permission to re-enter the domain, but it was not accepted.
Domain expulsion was ordered according to law. When this was conveyed to Kojūrō, two duty group members were sent to the ninja group sub-head's residence to witness, and also
two were sent to confirm the expulsion. However, Kojūrō was severely ill and could not leave, so Kohei inquired what should be done. As it was night,
this was noted, and the next morning his father Jinzaemon and relatives submitted a petition with Kohei's accompanying statement requesting custody.
After further investigation, there was no discrepancy, so this was reported to the senior councilors and the expulsion was postponed. On the 24th day of the 12th month,
relatives petitioned through a doctor's statement that he had not yet recovered and wished to continue treatment into the new year, as Kohei
reported. After consultation among colleagues and discussion with the senior councilors, the petition was granted, and Kojūrō would be expelled upon recovery,
as was conveyed to Kohei.
1. Kansei 8 (Year of the Dragon), 9th month, 23rd day, as follows: Memorandum of verbal statement
My group member Ueda Kizō's adoptive father Kihēji has committed extremely improper conduct, so I petitioned earlier and had him confined, but there were increasingly inappropriate actions,
so I petitioned to expel him from the castle town. The petition was granted and I was told to handle it at my discretion, for which I am most grateful. Accordingly, I ordered expulsion through group officials,
but his chronic illness recurred and he became irrational as if deranged, making communication impossible, so unavoidably I wished to wait until his illness subsided,
as I reported earlier. However, due to this illness his irrationality has increased, and I have no way to handle this. Therefore, I humbly request that the authorities
order the expulsion of this Kihēji out of compassion. Reporting such matters is extremely improper and I am deeply ashamed. Please
handle these matters appropriately. Above

Although this was submitted, since petitions had been made repeatedly from the beginning, which was quite improper, this statement was returned to Hachirōemon by colleagues only, and it was suggested that he should
consult well with fellow vanguard unit commanders. On the 25th of the same month, two monthly vanguard unit commanders again submitted a written statement:
Aizawa Hachirōemon's group [omitted] As irrationality is increasing, Hachirōemon's repeated reports are also shameful, so we have consulted and wish to order expulsion.
Depending on circumstances, there may be cases requiring arrest before petition, so we will send our group members to consult with Hachirōemon's group. When handling this, please

As this was submitted, it was reported to the senior councilors, who said to handle it at discretion, so this was conveyed to both men, and two group members were sent when the announcement was made.
However, Hachirōemon quickly submitted a petition of restraint inquiry, but was told restraint was unnecessary and to refrain.
1. Genbun 3 (Year of the Horse), 11th month, 21st day: The timekeeper's assistant at the third citadel had stomach pain and dizziness, made an error and struck six o'clock twice. Town magistrate Tsuchiya Jūrōemon confined him and inquired of the senior councilors, who said that since it was
an illness, he should be pardoned this time and ordered to be careful in the future. Note: conveyed through the inspector.
1. Meiwa 4 (Year of the Boar), 11th month, 12th day: In Edo, today the 12th, when the lord made a procession to the Senjū area and passed the front gate, on the return he forgot to guide to the middle entrance [entrance between the main entrance and kitchen entrance], which was improper conduct, so
confinement was ordered. On the 18th of the same month, it was declared through the middle councilor that although Izaemon's stipend should be revoked, out of compassion his allocation was reduced and he was given seven koku and two-person stipend,
temporarily assigned to the reserve group, and would later be appointed to an appropriate position, as was conveyed.
