二十六日中飯後集会の約定にて各自退散した。○堀川後室寿光院の世話で美知枝義定治茶師星野宗以方へ再嫁の義、過日以来追々相談し条書を以て懇請したところ、なお又今日先方よりも条書を以て答えがあり、いよいよ内約治定の旨、夕刻森光院入来にて示し聞かされた。もっとも明後二十一日堀川家寿光院手元まで結納金五百（帯料）金二百疋（肴料）右の通り送られるべき旨である云々。且つ又当時二人引越しの義は客分として来る二十四日・二十七日・五月朔日・三日の内、寿光院一人付添い送り呉れ度き旨である。然るに伏見稲荷玉屋まで駕籠並びに人足添え向かう者を差し出すべき旨云々。これにより来る二十七日治定申し、答え供侍一人・下女一人・下部一人召し連れる段申した。寿光院今晩止宿である。
二十日丁卯晴れ 千子宇治星野へ再縁の義につき双方親族書、明二十一日結納の節取り替えるべき趣につき、今日左の如く相認め寿光院へ相渡した。もっとも使いの者へ鳥目二百匁・半紙二軒の約束につき、これに寿光院まで差し出し置いた。

...the 26th day, after lunch, [the meeting was] arranged and each person dispersed. ○ Through the mediation of Horikawa's widow Jukōin, regarding the remarriage of Michie Yoshisada's tea master to Hoshino Sōi, [we] had been consulting gradually since some days past and made earnest requests through written articles. Furthermore today, there was also a response from the other party through written articles, and the matter of the private arrangement being settled was reported by Morigakuin who visited in the evening. Naturally, the day after tomorrow on the 21st, betrothal gifts should be sent to Horikawa family's Jukōin: 500 [gold pieces] for obi (sash expenses), 200 hiki in gold for sakana (feast expenses), as described above, etc. Furthermore, regarding the current matter of the two people's relocation, as guests on the coming 24th, 27th, 1st of 5th month, and 3rd, [we] wish to have Jukōin accompany and escort one person. For this purpose, palanquin and attendants should be dispatched to Fushimi Inari Tamaya, etc. Accordingly, on the coming 27th, [it was] decided and replied that one retainer, one maidservant, and one manservant should be brought along. Jukōin will stay overnight tonight.
20th day, 丁卯, Clear - Regarding Chiko's remarriage to Uji Hoshino, family registers from both sides are to be exchanged at tomorrow the 21st's betrothal ceremony. Today [I] wrote as follows and delivered it to Jukōin. Naturally, for the messenger, 200 monme of coins and 2 ken of half-paper were promised, and this was sent to Jukōin.
