尤炊下宿申之ニ付即刻出勤也御譫語御煩悶甚

様成基宅へ参集諸事如例申談之上過日
已来取調之条々数ヶ條書立一冊ニ致し席
外掛り中より席中掛りへ差出但し成基持参
職中之内掛り謹直可被相渡也且又此度光宗
清養亨顕等之上田十五石斗御払席外掛り
五人へ被任ニ付右田地五ツニ割強鬮取各配分
了但壱人分三石余也委敷別記仍而此畧之
廿三日己子【ミセケチ：亥】曇夕景より雨降 大御所追〻御快方
御静ニ被為在一統恐悦難有奉存也予早朝ゟ
出仕相伺午後下宿了
廿五日辛亥【ミセケチ：丑】晴清源院殿三十三回御忌ニ付昨今於
東福寺御法事御修行有之経千早朝より令参参
詣拝礼也○社中御倹約取締之ケ条書夫々返答
書弐三ヶ條掛紙ヲ以申来尚又老若中へ社中ゟ
之演舌書相添被尓見也

より昨日社中より返答之趣及沙汰其余条へ

各々退散した。予は申の刻過ぎ。大御所はまことに御容態がよろしくない旨、もっとも炊き下宿が申したので、即刻出勤した。御譫語・御煩悶が甚だしく、医師一統が相談するという恐れ入った次第である。
二十一日丁酉晴れ 今日も御倹約掛り内会があるが、このような日に予は御殿当番につき参加できなかった。
二十二日戊戌晴れ 大御所は今朝より少々御快方でいらっしゃる。○午後下宿。今日も御倹約掛り内会につき、直ちに成基宅へ参集し、諸事例の如く申し談じた上、過日以来取り調べた条々数ヶ条を書き立て一冊とし、席外掛り中より席中掛りへ差し出した。但し成基が持参し、職中の内掛り謹直へ相渡されることとなった。また、この度光宗・清養・亨顕等の上田十五石ほどを御払いし、席外掛り五人へ任されたので、右田地を五つに割り強くじ取りで各々配分を終えた。但し一人分三石余である。詳しくは別記につき、ここでは略す。
二十三日己亥曇り 夕景より雨降る。大御所は追々御快方で御静かでいらっしゃり、一統恐悦この上なく有り難く存じ奉る。予は早朝より出仕して相伺い、午後下宿を了えた。
二十五日辛丑晴れ 清源院殿三十三回御忌につき、昨今東福寺において御法事御修行があり、経千は早朝より参詣拝礼を命じた。○社中御倹約取締の箇条書きについて、それぞれ返答書二、三ヶ条を掛け紙を以って申し来た。なお老若中へ社中からの演舌書を相添えて見せられた。

Everyone dispersed. I [left] after the hour of the Monkey (3-5 PM). Regarding the Retired Shogun's condition being quite poor, since the kitchen staff reported this, I immediately went on duty. His delirium and agitation were severe, requiring consultation among all the physicians - truly a frightening situation.
Twenty-first day, Hinoto-Tori, Clear - Today there was also an internal meeting of the frugality committee, but on such a day I was on palace duty and could not participate.
Twenty-second day, Tsuchinoe-Inu, Clear - The Retired Shogun has been somewhat better since this morning. ○ Afternoon return to lodgings. Today there was also a frugality committee internal meeting, so we immediately assembled at Nariki's residence. After discussing various matters as usual, we compiled the various articles investigated over the past days into one volume and presented it from the external committee to the regular committee. However, Nariki brought it and it was to be handed over to Kinchoku of the staff's internal committee. Also, at this time the upper fields of about 15 koku belonging to Mitsumune, Seiyō, Kyōaki and others were sold off and entrusted to the five external committee members, so the said fields were divided into five parts and distributed to each by drawing lots. Each person's share was about 3 koku. Details are in a separate record, so this is abbreviated here.
Twenty-third day, Tsuchinoto-I, Cloudy - Rain from evening. The Retired Shogun is gradually recovering and resting peacefully. Everyone is overjoyed and grateful. I served from early morning to inquire after him and finished my lodging duties in the afternoon.
Twenty-fifth day, Kanoto-Ushi, Clear - For the 33rd memorial service of Lord Seigen-in, Buddhist services were held at Tōfuku-ji yesterday and today. Tsunesen was ordered to participate in worship from early morning. ○ Regarding the articles for shrine frugality regulations, response documents of two or three articles were submitted with cover papers. Furthermore, a speech document from the shrine was attached and shown to the senior and junior members.
Twenty-sixth day, Mizunoe-Tora, Clear - The frugality committee assembled at Nariki's residence. Tsunesen reported on the responses received from the shrine yesterday, and regarding the other articles...
