両村役人又吉角未社中へ罷出段々相歎村役勤
一統難立行段申願處松外之御取計ヲ以金子五両
永拝借被仰付被相渡依之亦々予へ及歎願無拠右
三十郎居宅外二茶木原田地壱ヶ所等可遣旨申聞候處
難有候得共何分時節柄之義殊ニ明日調達之銀子
ニ付金ニ而ハ憐愍被成下候様相願勘弁無之段相断
處左候ハヽ右両人借用之義申配無拠金弐両可貸遣段
ト聞候処更ニ佐渡守経益差次ヲ以金国両借用之
義ハ及挨拶遂ニ金五両又吉角市両人へ宜遣尤證文
一條殿御用金経干御預之内取次貸也右金子佐渡守へ
相渡證札同人より取次被相渡也退済方之義ハ来ル九月丗日
元金皆済候ハヽ不及利足同日内三両退金残弐両十一月
晦日返納ニ候ハヽ當八月より御定通り利足月壱歩半
可相立之旨約定ニ而事落着相済了

義であるから、とても貧者には及び難い段を堅く相断った。然るところ、いよいよ出銀が相成り難い時は、紀州より奉行所へ差し出され、奉行所より社中へ表向きの御沙汰に及ぶであろう。左様な成り行きになっては、経千においても社中へ対し畏れ入る義であり、その上如何なる成り行きになるかも計り難いにつき、なお又両村役人又吉・角市が社中へ罷り出て段々相嘆き、村役勤め一統立ち行き難い段を申し願ったところ、松外の御取り計らいを以て金子五両永拝借が仰せ付けられ相渡された。これにより又々予へ嘆き願いに及び、やむを得ず右三十郎居宅外に茶木原田地一ヶ所等を遣わす旨申し聞いたところ、有り難いが何分時節柄の義で、殊に明日調達の銀子につき、金にては憐愍を成し下さるよう相願いしたが、勘弁無い段相断った。それならば右両人借用の義を申し述べ、やむを得ず金二両を貸し遣わす段と聞いたところ、更に佐渡守経益が差し次を以て金子二両借用の義は挨拶に及び、遂に金五両を又吉・角市両人へ宜しく遣わした。もっとも証文一条殿御用金経干御預かりの内取り次ぎ貸しである。右金子は佐渡守へ相渡し、証札は同人より取り次ぎ相渡された。返済方の義は来る九月三十日に元金皆済すれば利足に及ばず、同日の内に三両退金し、残り二両を十一月晦日返納するならば、当八月より御定め通り利足月一歩半を相立てる旨約定にて事が落着し相済んだ。
二十五日庚午晴れ。星野美枝が今日めでたく里開きである。もっとも今朝堀川家まで駕籠にて、それより未の刻ほど歩行にて参った。宗以の女とみ七歳同伴、下女一人、下男二人、両掛け一荷、美枝・富・下女等が逗留。下男両人へ祝酒、式の祝い義銭三百文、半紙二折ずつ遣わした。

This was, of course, an intermediary loan from within the official funds held in trust by Ichijo-dono. The said gold was handed over to Sado-no-kami, and the receipt was handed over through him as intermediary. Regarding repayment: if the principal is fully paid by the coming September 30th, no interest would be required; if three ryo are returned within that same day and the remaining two ryo are returned by the end of November, then from this August onward, according to regulations, interest of one and a half bu per month would be established. With this agreement, the matter was settled and concluded.

This morning she went to the Horikawa house by palanquin, and from there walked for about the hour of the Sheep (1-3 PM). Accompanying her were Shui's daughter Tomi (age 7), one maidservant, two manservants, carrying luggage with shoulder poles. Mie, Tomi, the maidservant and others stayed over. To the two manservants were given celebratory sake, ceremonial celebration money of 300 mon, and two folded sheets of half-paper each.
