検分のため、総検分倹約掛かりの中から経必・蓓保・経益・経千・必顕・郁顕・成基等が竹ノ源次郎を召し連れ、同村年寄の藤九郎・宇兵衛等にその場所を案内させた。なお、来る二十一日、新開の内で見合わせの場所の反畝を取り調べるため罷り越すべき段を申し付けた。野村清算別条にて夕飯を認めた後、各々退散した。もっとも飯は兼日、蓓保より堺屋へ申し付けてあった。
二十日甲未曇り。御殿新調達御講六会目、例の如く三本木奥田屋においてこれ有り。諸事相済み、戌刻過ぎに帰宅した。
二十一日乙申晴れ。朝飯後早々、柊原新開見取り場所の反畝を取り調べるため、取締掛かりの中から経必・蓓保・経益・経千・必顕・成基等が源二郎を召し連れて罷り越し、同村年寄の藤九郎・宇兵衛に案内させた。中飯は過日の如く清算別条において認め、夕刻に帰宅した。
二十二日丙戌晴れ。御殿新調達講勘定の諸事、例の如し。
二十四日戊亥晴れ。美江の婚義、万端滞りなく相済みにつき、祝いのため白蒸しを配った。その先々は左の如し。めでたく送った。

○朝飯後、柊原新開見取りの内、去る二十一日取り調べ残りの反畝を検見するため罷り越した。掛かりは蓓保・経益・経千・郁顕、加勢は経樹等、源次郎を召し連れ、年寄の藤九郎・宇兵衛の案内にて過日の如し。終わって茨谷新開の反畝の無い分、二反畝歩打ちが未だ半刻ほど相済んだ。もっとも中飯は清算別条にて過日の如く認めた。ただし二十の分四十二口、合いの分二十まで。それより源次郎を召し連れ、柊原経千の田地・畑地等の分十ヶ所を検分し終わって、同じく暮れに帰宅した。

For inspection purposes, from among the general inspection economy committee members—Kyōhitsu, Hōho, Kyōeki, Kyōsen, Hitsumei, Ikuken, Narumoto, and others—accompanied by Bamboo-no-Genjirō, the village elders Tōkurō and Uhyōe were made to guide them to the locations. Furthermore, orders were given that on the coming 21st day, they should proceed to survey the acreage of sites under consideration within the newly developed land. After dinner was arranged at Nomura Seisan's separate quarters, everyone dispersed. The meal had been pre-arranged by Hōho with Sakaiya.
20th day, Kinoe-hitsuji, cloudy. The sixth meeting of the palace renovation financing association was held as usual at Okudaya in Sanbongi. All business was completed, and I returned home after the Hour of the Dog.
21st day, Kinoto-saru, clear. After breakfast, early in the morning, to survey the acreage of inspection sites at Hiiragi-hara newly developed land, supervisory committee members Kyōhitsu, Hōho, Kyōeki, Kyōsen, Hitsumei, and Narumoto, accompanied by Genjirō, proceeded there and had village elders Tōkurō and Uhyōe serve as guides. Lunch was arranged at Seisan's separate quarters as on previous days, and I returned home in the evening.
22nd day, Hinoe-inu, clear. Various matters regarding the palace renovation financing association accounts, as usual.
24th day, Tsuchinoe-i, clear. Since Mie's wedding arrangements were completed without any delays, celebratory steamed rice cakes were distributed. The recipients were as follows, sent with congratulations:
One container of white steamed cakes to both Matsuo Tōho and Master of Ceremonies Horikawa Saemon Taishi
One container of white steamed cakes to Fujiki Echigo-no-kami, Horikawa, Jukōin, and Sugiyama Shigesaemon
One container each to Kyōi, Seisan, Ujihiko, Kikyō, and Tashi—nine households in total.
○ After breakfast, regarding the Hiiragi-hara newly developed land inspection, I proceeded to examine the remaining acreage that had not been surveyed on the past 21st day. The committee members were Hōho, Kyōeki, Kyōsen, and Ikuken, with Kyōju and others assisting, accompanied by Genjirō, and guided by elders Tōkurō and Uhyōe as on previous days. After completing that, regarding Ibaratani newly developed land where there was no acreage, about half an hour's work remained for surveying two tan of acreage. Lunch was arranged at Seisan's separate quarters as on previous days. However, regarding the twenty portions—forty-two openings, up to twenty of the combined portions. From there, accompanied by Genjirō, I inspected ten locations of Hiiragi-hara Kyōsen's rice fields and dry fields, and returned home at dusk.
