廿三日辛巳曇り雨降今晩寅刻より申刻ニ至り大風烈也 ○/幹(ヲト)宮此度桂宮御相續被 仰出之但し 禁中之皇子也 壬七月小 朔日戊子晴三千栄事子細有之今日籠ニ而入来逗留也 七日甲午曇昨六日午後より風雨今朝ニ至り止了○昨六日 能登守文氏卒去ニ付昨日来母被参予今日下宿後罷越 為弔悔御酒弐升豆腐拾丁送之也今晩葬送之節 多氏幼年ニ付予小谷墓所迄付添参無滞葬相済了 十八日乙巳晴社頭當番経寛令代勤也 八月大 朔日丁巳曇御家門惣詰御祝向如例 若御所御参経紀 御供ニ参也○御領村々役人参上御祝酒被下両役盃徳 反如例也○経寛敏顕方え引越日限之義媒介清算 より兼日内談二付當月八日可然哉之旨申入置之処今日清算 ゟ書状到来敏顕書面相添今日於二條家経寛親類書 遂披露 左府公御覧相済弥来ル八日治定目出度可 引越之旨也珍重々々 二日戊午晴経寛近々養家え引越ニ付今日 御家門え為御暇 参上着麻上下 両御所御前ヘ出其旨申上御肴一折鮭 蛤令献上目出度旨蒙 仰金百疋被下之 若御所ゟ扇子 五拾盃壱被下之了尚已来御使等ニ而参上之節者奥向 御前へも是迄之通可罷出旨 両御所より奉蒙御懇

現代語訳

二十三日辛巳 曇り雨降り。今晩寅の刻より申の刻に至り大風が激しかった。 ○桂宮がこの度桂宮御相続を仰せ出された。ただし禁中の皇子である。 壬七月小(文政十五年七月小の月) 朔日戊子 晴れ。三千栄の事で子細があり、今日籠で入来し逗留している。 七日甲午 曇り。昨六日午後より風雨が今朝に至り止んだ。○昨六日に能登守文氏が卒去したため、昨日より母が参られ、予は今日下宿後に罷り越し、弔慰のため御酒二升、豆腐十丁を送った。今晩葬送の節、多氏が幼年のため、予が小谷墓所まで付き添い参り、滞りなく葬儀が相済んだ。 十八日乙巳 晴れ。社頭当番を経寛に代勤させた。 八月大(文政十五年八月大の月) 朔日丁巳 曇り。御家門総詰の御祝い向けが例の如くあった。若御所御参りに経紀が御供に参った。○御領村々の役人が参上し、御祝酒を下され、両役の盃徳反が例の如くあった。○経寛の敏顕方への引越し日限の義について、媒介の清算より兼ねて日より内談につき、当月八日が然るべきかの旨を申し入れ置いた所、今日清算より書状が到来し、敏顕の書面を相添え、今日二条家において経寛親類書を披露し遂げた。左府公の御覧が相済み、いよいよ来る八日に治定、目出度く引越すべき旨である。珍重々々。 二日戊午 晴れ。経寛が近々養家へ引越すため、今日御家門へ御暇のため参上した。麻上下を着用し、両御所の御前へ出てその旨を申し上げ、御肴一折、鮭、蛤を献上した。目出度き旨を蒙り、金百疋を下された。若御所より扇子五十、盃一つを下された。なお已来、御使等にて参上の節は奥向の御前へもこれまでの通り罷り出るべき旨を両御所より懇ろに蒙った。

23rd Day, Kanoto-Mi: Cloudy with rain. From tonight's hour of the tiger to the hour of the monkey, there were severe winds. ○Prince Katsura was proclaimed heir to the Katsura-no-miya house. He is a prince from the Imperial Palace. 7th Month, Small Month of Mizunoe (Bunsei 15/1832) 1st Day, Tsuchinoe-Ne: Clear. There were circumstances regarding Sanzenei, who arrived by palanquin today and is staying. 7th Day, Kinoe-Uma: Cloudy. Wind and rain that began yesterday afternoon from the 6th stopped this morning. ○Yesterday the 6th, Noto-no-kami Fumiji passed away, so his mother has been visiting since yesterday. I went to the lodging today to offer condolences, sending 2 shō of sake and 10 pieces of tofu. At tonight's funeral procession, since Taji is still young, I accompanied him to Kotani cemetery and the funeral was completed without incident. 18th Day, Kinoto-Mi: Clear. Had Tsunehiro serve as substitute for shrine duty. 8th Month, Large Month (Bunsei 15/1832) 1st Day, Hinoto-Mi: Cloudy. The full assembly celebration for the noble family took place as usual. Tsunaki accompanied the Young Palace on a ceremonial visit. ○Village officials from the domain lands came to pay respects and were given celebratory sake, with the customary cup ceremony for both officials. ○Regarding the matter of Tsunehiro's moving date to Toshiaki's house, since there had been prior consultation through mediator Seisan, I had proposed that the 8th of this month would be suitable. Today a letter arrived from Seisan with an accompanying letter from Toshiaki, and today at the Nijō house we presented the family documents for Tsunehiro. Lord Safu reviewed them and it was decided that he should move auspiciously on the coming 8th. Most precious indeed. 2nd Day, Tsuchinoe-Uma: Clear. As Tsunehiro was soon to move to his adoptive family, today he went to the noble house to request leave. Wearing hemp formal dress, he appeared before both palaces to report this matter and presented one tray of delicacies, salmon, and clams. He was told this was auspicious and given 100 hiki of gold. From the Young Palace he was given 50 fans and one cup. Furthermore, he graciously received word from both palaces that when he comes in the future as a messenger, he should continue to appear before the inner palace as before.
