外に賄方小三郎へ南鐐一片、役割へ金一朱等を送った。
二十四日丁丑晴れ 来る二十七日は貞厳院殿《細川殿御女》の御十三回忌の日につき、今日御内一統へ御目通りを下された。
二十五日戊寅晴れ 経啓という儒学者神条介に相頼み、今日入門させて私が召し連れた。もっとも麻上下を着用し、扇子料として銀三匁を送った。但し左氏伝の講読初回である。芽が出て珍重なことである。○葵御神事の御下行米が相渡され、例の如く頂戴した。○金掛御講の勘定が例の如くあり、この度の御預金の内二歩二朱ずつ返達された。
二十六日己卯晴れ 貞厳院殿の御逮夜につき東福寺へ参詣した。もっとも同寺において今日明日と御法事が御修行される。
二十七日庚辰晴れ 貞厳院殿の御祥忌日につき、若御所が東福寺へ御参詣御成、経紀が御供に参った。
二十八日辛巳雨午後晴れ 御造営後の神宮寺・聖神寺等が先規の如く、今日より三十日間の開帳である。
晦日癸未曇り 五番衆への御下行米銭代銭の配分である。一人分三〆七百七十六文を相渡した。○月次の老若出番を逞清へ代わりを相頼んだ。○柊の九右衛門分として旧冬預けた銀二十八匁を預けていたところ、柊庄次郎の今日の出仕につき相渡した。但し十日講中へは同人よりもう少し何でも取り調べて差し出すべき由である。
三月小
三日丙戌雨上がり 三の御祝い向けの御祝酒が下される等、例年の如くである。○御神事は例の如く。
五日戊子晴れ 東福寺開帳初日につき、内々検分のため私と伊地知の両人が罷り越し、御宿院の案内で順覧し、飯酒等が出された。

24th day, Hinoto-ushi, clear. As the 27th will be the 13th anniversary memorial service for Lady Teigen'in (daughter of Lord Hosokawa), today audiences were granted to all the inner retainers.
25th day, Tsuchinoe-tora, clear. I requested the Confucian scholar Kyōkei Kanjōsuke, and today had him enter as a disciple under my guidance. He wore hemp formal dress (kamishimo), and I sent three monme of silver as a fan fee. This was the first reading of the Zuo Commentary (Sashiden). Buds have emerged - most auspicious! ○ The rice distribution from the Aoi Festival was handed over and received as usual. ○ The accounting for the gold-backed lecture was conducted as usual, and from this time's deposited funds, two bu and two shu each were returned.
26th day, Tsuchinoto-u, clear. For Lady Teigen'in's vigil night, I visited Tōfuku-ji temple. The memorial service will be conducted at the same temple today and tomorrow.
27th day, Kanoe-tatsu, clear. For Lady Teigen'in's memorial day, the Young Palace made a formal visit to Tōfuku-ji temple, with Tsunenori participating in the entourage.
28th day, Kanoto-mi, rain, clearing in the afternoon. Following the reconstruction, Jingū-ji, Shōjin-ji and other temples began their 30-day exhibitions today as per previous regulations.
Last day, Mizunoto-hitsuji, cloudy. Distribution of rice allowance money to the fifth group. 3,776 mon per person was distributed. ○ For the monthly rotation of senior and junior duty assignments, I requested Takekiyo to serve as substitute. ○ Regarding Hiiragi Kyūemon's portion, while 28 monme of silver from last winter had been deposited, it was handed over due to Hiiragi Shōjirō's service today. However, he should investigate and submit whatever more he can for the tenth-day lecture group.
Third Month (short month)
3rd day, Hinoe-inu, after rain. Celebratory sake for the third celebration was bestowed as in previous years. ○ The sacred ritual proceeded as usual.
5th day, Tsuchinoe-ne, clear. As it was the opening day of the Tōfuku-ji exhibition, Ijichi and I went privately for inspection, toured under the guidance of the guest quarters, and were served food and sake.
