[I] brought and handed over sixty ryō. Regarding the famous tea utensil water jar "Konoki-an" from Seo Jibei's collection, today [I] sent assistant Yūzaemon and Seo's clerk Kobei to the creditors, who brought and delivered 156 ryō in gold and returned. [I] immediately entrusted it to Seo Yahei.
11th Day, Kanoe-Ne: Clear. At the Hour of the Dragon, the pillar raising and roof beam installation ceremony for the storehouse took place. Four carpenters and nine assistants came. [I] offered sacred sake with steamed dishes, and sent one set of steamed dishes each to relatives, neighbors, and regular visitors - eighteen households in total. Each sent sake and dried delicacies as congratulations in return. [I] provided steamed dishes and celebratory sake to the carpenters and assistants, along with three kinds of side dishes and soup. Also, to master carpenters Matahei and Zenbei [I gave] one tawara of silver coins as celebration money; to the other two men, one shu of gold each; to one person, one bu of silver; to the assistant workers, 500 mon in quarter-bu coins; to the other nine people including Otoshirō's wife, 200 mon each; to Magosuke, 200 mon; to two maidservants, 100 mon each. After the framework raising was completed and the storehouse beams were raised, sacred sake was offered. Sacred sake, dried delicacies, and washed rice were placed before the household shrine, and carpenter Zenbei made the offering. First-fruits meals were offered, and the entire household celebrated with steamed dishes and celebratory sake. The sake that arrived today totaled 2 to 9 shō. Everything was completed without incident - great joy and celebration. For yesterday's ground purification ceremony and as greetings, [I] sent Master Kyōi gifts of one shō of sake and one piece of silver for side dish expenses. Also, regarding the 300 mon in corvée tax that should have been submitted during the recent land inspection but was missed due to error, today [I] sent an apology for the delay to construction supervisor Kiyotsugu. From Seo Jibei, as thanks for handling the water jar matter recently, three boxes of delicacies, fresh sea bream, squid, and turban shells arrived.
12th Day, Kanoto-Ushi: Snow flurries. The storehouse carpenters worked on installing ceiling boards, and the assistants did rope work and such.
13th Day, Mizunoe-Tora: Rain, but occasionally clear. The fifth session of the Kagura lecture - how it went, it was held at Mihon Okudaya, [I] attended as usual and it finished after the Hour of the Cock. For the storehouse roof, [I] commissioned hinoki bark roofer Tazō for the metal fitting work.
16th Day, Kinoto-Mi: Clear. The storehouse was completed the day before yesterday on the 14th. The entrance, pillars, and three windows were installed, and two wind barriers were erected on the north and south sides. The day laborers worked on earth replacement and such.
