六日癸丑晴れ 柊原東手の若衆が田二反、同村東手庄屋小左衛門の頼みにより、同上の件について町の善次郎と卯之助両人より一反ずつ、右の田地の作職を譲り受けた。ただし年貢米二反合わせて一石一斗三升五合を東手へ納め、余りの往来米三斗ずつ合六斗、この銀四百五十匁を今日相渡し、譲渡代の印形を取った。
八日乙卯晴れ 御祭の加下行米一斗を今日若役より相渡された。
十日丁巳晴れ 大御所が先月下旬末以来御水三木の御捌きが困難で御違例のところ、とかく御快方にならないため、御近習中が相談して今日北野天満宮に祈願の御千度を相勤めた。経紀と経啓も参拝した。もっとも経紀は過日来疥瘡で引き籠もり中であったが、甚だ軽く病症のことなので、仲ケ間へ申し入れて罷り越した。なお明日は祇園社御千度、明後日は清水寺御千度、三日共に一統禁酒精進の定めとのこと。右の御違例につき先年来拝診の医師の輩は左の如し：萩野、福井、小林、杦山、後藤、御家来前田等である。
十一日戊午晴れ 祇園社御千度につき経紀と経啓が早朝より参勤した。
十二日己未晴れ 御祭前につき経啓同伴で御生所始めに参社すること例の如し。大御所御順快の祈願の祝詞を相加え、社頭に昇り奉廻の植松を加えた。朝の御料を越進両人が御料として直に相した。
○大御所御違例につき頭人保歳へ今日より七ヶ日の間御祈祷を相頼んだ。祝詞は新願で御服薬速やかに相応し、不日に御順快、御寿命御長久の願いである。もっとも初中終別に参り、その余長日附行、中日二十一座、麻修行、調進、褁紙奉書を相願い置いた。○午後経寛が参社した。

6th day, 癸丑, Clear - Regarding young men from Hibarihara East district requesting two tan of rice fields, and the village headman Kozaemon of the same East district's request, regarding the above matter, [we] received the cultivation rights to the said fields, one tan each from townsmen Zenjirō and Unosuke. However, the annual tribute rice for two tan totaling 1 koku 1 to 3 shō 5 gō was paid to the East district, with the remaining往来米 3 to each (total 6 to), equivalent to 450 monme of silver, handed over today, and the transfer deed was executed.
8th day, 乙卯, Clear - One to of rice for festival additional distribution was handed over today by the young official.
10th day, 丁巳, Clear - The Great Retired Shogun has been suffering from illness since the end of last month, having difficulty with urination, and since his condition has not improved, his close attendants consulted and today performed a thousand-prayer ritual at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. Kyōki and Kyōkei also participated. Although Kyōki has been in seclusion due to scabies for some days, since his symptoms were very mild, he reported to the intermediary and went. Tomorrow there will be a thousand-prayer ritual at Gion Shrine, the day after at Kiyomizu Temple - for all three days there is a rule of complete abstinence from alcohol and religious purification. Regarding this illness, the physicians who have been examining [the Shogun] for years are as follows: Hagino, Fukui, Kobayashi, Sugiyama, Gotō, retainer Maeda, etc.
11th day, 戊午, Clear - For the Gion Shrine thousand-prayer ritual, Kyōki and Kyōkei participated from early morning.
12th day, 己未, Clear - Before the festival, Kyōkei accompanied [officials] to the sacred birthplace shrine as usual. Adding prayers for the Great Retired Shogun's recovery, [we] ascended to the shrine grounds and added planted pines for the ritual circuit. In the morning, two people offered the morning ritual provisions directly.
○ Due to the Great Retired Shogun's illness, [we] requested seven days of prayers from head priest Hoyasu starting today. The prayer is a new petition that his medication take effect quickly, that he recover soon, and for his long life and longevity. We made separate visits for beginning, middle, and end [of the prayer period], with additional long-day services, twenty-one sessions on middle days, hemp austerities, ritual preparations, and requested wrapping paper and ceremonial paper. ○ In the afternoon, Kyōkan visited the shrine.
13th day, 庚申, Clear - The monthly official prepared and offered ritual food for the pure robe lottery in the inner courtyard.
