現代語訳
【一丁裏】
ここに花咲き爺さんが檀那寺に
西明寺という寺があり、植木好きの
和尚でありましたが、この辺りに蟹が
出て数多くの植木を鋏で切ってしまいました。
西教寺殿秘蔵の梅桜
松を鋏で切ったところ、折しも
爺さん夫婦が寺参りを
していたので、あの灰を振りかけて
枯れ木に花を咲かせて
下さいと頼む。
爺さんがあの灰を出し
振りかけると梅桜
松も元の通りに
なった。
なんと
ご覧なさいませ
白いものよ

悪い蟹が出て これは〳〵
皆植木を 花が
鋏で切って 咲きました

Here, the flower-blooming old man had
a family temple called Saimyōji, where there was
a priest who loved gardening.
However, a crab appeared in this area
and cut many plants with its claws.
When the crab cut the precious plum, cherry,
and pine trees of Saikyōji temple with its claws,
it happened that the old man and his wife
were visiting the temple,
so they asked him to sprinkle
that ash and make flowers bloom
on the dead trees.
The old man took out that ash
and sprinkled it, and the plum, cherry,
and pine trees returned
to their original state.
"Look at this!
How wonderful!
What white blossoms!"
