一此編は、小学初等科生徒の為に設けたるもの
　なり、課業の都合によりて、一課を二度又は三
　度に授くるも妨げなし、こは全く教師の斟酌
　によるべし、
一文中の字面は、雅俗を択ばず、日用切近を旨と
　して、易きを先にし、難きを後にす、是生徒学力
　の浅深をはかりてなり、
一第一巻より、第三巻まで、単語を毎課の始めに
　揚げたるものは、生徒をして先づこれを誦記

一、この編集は、小学校初等科の生徒のために作られたものである。授業の都合により、一つの課を二回または三回に分けて教えても差し支えない。これは全く教師の判断によるべきである。

一、文中の文字は、雅語・俗語を問わず、日常生活に身近なものを基本として、易しいものを先に、難しいものを後に配置した。これは生徒の学力の程度を考慮したためである。

一、第一巻から第三巻まで、各課の始めに単語を挙げたものは、生徒にまずこれを暗唱・記憶

1. This compilation has been prepared for elementary school students. Depending on the convenience of lessons, there is no problem with teaching one lesson in two or three sessions. This should be entirely at the teacher's discretion.

1. The characters in the text, whether elegant or colloquial, are based on those familiar to daily life, with easier ones placed first and more difficult ones later. This is done in consideration of the varying levels of students' academic ability.

1. From Volume 1 to Volume 3, the vocabulary words listed at the beginning of each lesson are intended for students to first recite and memorize
