応御吟味御座候
此段私共外国逗留中邪宗門等学ひ候儀は勿論右
躰之儀勧られ候儀無之如何而心付候義も毛頭無御
座候若隠置外ゟ相顕候はゝ如何様之御咎にも可被仰付候
一私共武具類積乗候哉且金銀銭所持致哉彼国
逗留中商売ヶ間敷儀不致候哉委細可申上旨是又
御吟味御座候此段国元出船之節武具類積乗不申
金銀銭持乗不申且逗留中賃銭として貰請候
銀銭にて食物調給候外商売ヶ間敷儀決而不仕候
一往来切手札守等所持致候哉御吟味御座候
此段国元出船之節漁師之儀に付何れの浦々へ罷越
候而も差支無之様漁業として罷出五人乗之趣認候
切手庄屋より伝蔵へ申請所持致候処破船之節
流失致且札守等持乗不申候
一金銀衣類等貰候哉御吟味御座候
此段金銀衣類等其外等貰物之分は別紙申上候通り
持帰り御取上に相成申候
右之通少も相違不申上候已上

問われた通りの取り調べがございました。
この件について、私たちが外国滞在中にキリスト教等を学んだことは勿論なく、そのようなことを勧められたこともなく、どのような心づきすることも毛頭ございません。もし隠していることが外部から明らかになれば、どのような処罰でもお申し付けいただいて構いません。
一、私たちが武具類を積み込んでいたか、また金銀銭を所持していたか、彼の国での滞在中に商売らしいことをしなかったか、詳細を申し上げるようにとの取り調べもございました。この件について、国元を出船する際には武具類は積み込まず、金銀銭も持参せず、また滞在中は賃金として受け取った銀銭で食物を調達する以外に、商売らしいことは決してしておりません。
一、往来手形や札守等を所持していたかとの取り調べがございました。この件について、国元を出船する際、漁師であることから、どの浦々へ行っても差し支えないよう、漁業として出かける五人乗りの趣旨を記した手形を庄屋より伝蔵へ申請して所持しておりましたが、破船の際に流失し、また札守等は持参しておりません。
一、金銀や衣類等を貰ったかとの取り調べがございました。この件について、金銀や衣類等その他の貰い物については、別紙で申し上げた通り持ち帰り、お取り上げとなりました。
右の通り、少しも相違ございません。以上

The examination was conducted as requested.
Regarding this matter, during our stay in foreign countries, we of course did not study Christianity or similar religions, nor were we ever encouraged to do so, and we had absolutely no inclination toward such things. Should anything we have concealed come to light from external sources, we accept that any punishment whatsoever may be imposed upon us.
Regarding whether we had loaded weapons aboard, whether we possessed gold and silver money, and whether we engaged in any trade-like activities during our stay in that country, we were examined and ordered to provide complete details. Concerning this matter, when we departed from our home province, we loaded no weapons and brought no gold or silver money. During our stay abroad, apart from procuring food with the silver money we received as wages, we absolutely did not engage in any trade-like activities.
We were examined regarding whether we possessed travel permits, protective amulets, and such. Concerning this matter, when departing from our home province, since we were fishermen, we had requested and received from the village headman a permit for Denzō stating that we were going out for fishing purposes with a crew of five, so that we could visit any coastal areas without impediment. However, this was lost when our ship was wrecked, and we did not carry any protective amulets or similar items.
We were examined regarding whether we had received gold, silver, clothing, and other items. Concerning this matter, the gold, silver, clothing, and other gifts we received have been brought back and confiscated as detailed in the separate document submitted.
All of the above is stated without any discrepancy whatsoever.
