一産業之事此所は山中より砂金掘出持越を買取
　ハインと相唱右金を吹立丸形人頭銭に拵方
　致候に付吹所え銘々掘取候砂金持越候砂金持越
　右金銭と取替砂金量目一ヲンス丈ヶ持参候得は
　金銭を十六七枚相渡候由尤量目金銭之目方に致

一、産業について：この所は山中より砂金を掘り出して持参するのを買い取り、「ハイン」と呼んで、その金を吹き立てて丸形の人頭銭に作り方をするので、吹き場へ銘々が掘り取った砂金を持参する。砂金を持参すると、その金銭と取り替え、砂金の量目一オンスだけを持参すれば、金銭を十六、七枚相渡すという。もっとも量目を金銭の目方にすれば十八枚だけになるけれども、製造手間その他雑費がかかるので、二枚ほど減少して相渡すという。万次郎も掘り取った砂金を金銭に取り替えたという。その他の産業等については聞いていないという。この所はいずれも商人のように見え、諸州の商人が船で渡来する場所なので、何の品でも差し支えなくあるという。
