 衰微仕候由之事 一同所寺々跡々ゟ長き三十間許之大蛇出申候由之事 一同所に星落丸き石に成申由今に御座候事      珠洲郡 一三崎海の浜に矢の根石とて御座候矢の根のことくなる石  に而御座候事 一三崎高勝寺に義経青葉の笛高麗笛御座候事 一高屋村刀祢他人より続き不申候由四十代相続仕候役  行者の布直垂所持仕候毎年正月朔日石動山衆徒  刀祢方へ参候て祭事仕候事 一鵜嶋村与三兵衛家弘法大師御入住右之家只今まて  九百年家に蚊居普請候新宅の蚊居普請候新宅の  分は蚊多く居申候事 一飯田村山に仏像の小石多く御座候大師の御封たれ  たるを申侍候事 一吠木山法住寺え弘法大師入唐之節取て被帰候壱尺  八寸の釼御座候此山に桜木御座候処鳴申候就夫其里人  恐申候段弘法大師聞召右之木を伐法華経の板木  八十一枚に彫立被置候然共其後焼失仕今程は壱枚  残御座候 微妙院様ゟ箱袋被仰付候右之木鳴申  ゆへ吠木山と申候之事 一松波村照光寺に壱ッ打て二ッなり申候太鼓御座候筒の  銘空海と御座候      以上

衰微いたしました由のことです。 一、同所の寺々の跡から長さ三十間ほどの大蛇が出たということです。 一、同所に星が落ちて丸い石になったということで、今もございます。 珠洲郡 一、三崎海の浜に矢の根石というものがございます。矢の根のような石でございます。 一、三崎高勝寺に義経の青葉の笛と高麗笛がございます。 一、高屋村の刀祢は他人より続いておりません。四十代相続いたしました。役行者の布直垂を所持しております。毎年正月元日に石動山の衆徒が刀祢方へ参って祭事をいたします。 一、鵜島村の与三兵衛家に弘法大師が御入住されました。右の家は今まで九百年間、家に蚊がおりません。普請した新宅の分は蚊が多くおります。 一、飯田村の山に仏像の小石が多くございます。大師の御封じをされたものと申します。 一、吠木山法住寺へ弘法大師が入唐の節に取って帰られた一尺八寸の剣がございます。この山に桜木がございましたが鳴きました。それで其の里人が恐れました段を弘法大師がお聞きになり、右の木を伐って法華経の板木八十一枚に彫り立てて置かれました。しかしながらその後焼失いたし、今ほどは一枚残っております。微妙院様より箱袋を仰せ付けられました。右の木が鳴くゆえ吠木山と申します。 一、松波村照光寺に一つ打って二つ鳴る太鼓がございます。筒の銘は空海とございます。 以上

...it fell into decline. 1. From the ruins of various temples at the same location, a great serpent about thirty ken long is said to have emerged. 1. At the same location, a star is said to have fallen and become a round stone, which remains there to this day. Suzu District 1. On the beach at Misaki Cape, there is what is called "arrowhead stone." It is a stone shaped like an arrowhead. 1. At Kōshōji Temple in Misaki, there are Yoshitsune's Aoba flute and a Korean flute. 1. The tōne of Takaya village has no succession from outsiders. It has been inherited for forty generations. They possess the cloth hitatare of En no Gyōja. Every year on New Year's Day, the clergy of Sekidōzan visit the tōne's residence to perform ritual ceremonies. 1. Kōbō Daishi resided at the house of Yozaemon in Ushima village. In that house, for nine hundred years until now, there have been no mosquitoes. In newly constructed additions, there are many mosquitoes. 1. On the mountain in Iida village, there are many small stones shaped like Buddhist images. They are said to be sealed by the Great Master. 1. At Hōjūji Temple on Hoekiyama (Barking Tree Mountain), there is a sword one shaku eight sun long that Kōbō Daishi brought back when he went to Tang China. There was a cherry tree on this mountain that made sounds. The local people were frightened by this, and when Kōbō Daishi heard of it, he cut down the tree and carved it into eighty-one printing blocks for the Lotus Sutra. However, they were later destroyed by fire, and now only one remains. Lord Bimyōin had a box and bag made for it. Because this tree made sounds, the mountain is called Hoekiyama (Barking Tree Mountain). 1. At Shōkōji Temple in Matsunami village, there is a drum that when struck once, sounds twice.
