成ゟして後にさま〳〵の病出来性悪しくなる
もの也但気候の寒暖は家々にて替りある故
尚其心得有へし都て後の不作は前にありとしるへし
一其前により粟（あは）からの簀（す）或は芦す抔を蚕棚へ敷
其上にて養ふへし是を網を以て蚕尻を替んと
せば狭き棚故網の取扱ひいたしかたかるへし
しかし工風をなして何れ網にて替るかた大きに
早し蚕尻替るに手間とりては日々に替かたし
且陽気を節にし尚蚕尻を替るに手抜あ
りては何様心を尽すといへとも大利を見る事

一近来夏蚕をかふ所も有之趣に及承候得共
桑の為には至て害ある事故其心配致すへし
但養蚕専らの土地にては夏蚕は厳敷御停
現代語訳
なってから後に様々な病気が出来て性質が悪くなるものである。ただし気候の寒暖は家々によって違いがあるので、なお一層その心得があるべきである。すべて後の不作は前にあると知るべきである。
一、その前によって粟殻の簀（す）或いは芦簀などを蚕棚へ敷き、その上で養うべきである。これを網を以て蚕の糞を取り替えようとすれば、狭い棚なので網の取扱いが困難であろう。しかし工夫をなして何れにしても網で取り替える方法が大いに速い。
蚕の糞を取り替えるのに手間取っていては日々に取り替えが困難である。かつ陽気を適切にし、なお蚕の糞を取り替えるのに手抜きがあっては、どのように心を尽くすと言っても大きな利益を見ることは困難であろう。
一、近頃夏蚕を飼う所もある趣に及び承り候えども、桑のためには至って害があることゆえ、その心配をいたすべきである。ただし養蚕専らの土地では夏蚕は厳しく御停止

After they mature, various diseases appear and their nature becomes poor. However, since the cold and warmth of climate varies from house to house, one should be even more mindful of this. One should know that all future poor harvests originate from earlier stages.
1. Before this, one should lay millet husk mats (su) or reed mats on the silkworm shelves and raise them on top of these. If one tries to replace the silkworm droppings using nets, the handling of nets would be difficult due to the narrow shelves. However, by devising methods, replacing with nets in any case is much faster.
If one takes too much time replacing silkworm droppings, it becomes difficult to replace them daily. Moreover, if one moderates the temperature appropriately but still cuts corners in replacing silkworm droppings, no matter how much effort one puts in otherwise, it would be difficult to see great profit.
