　或は煮焼等すべからす
一別て寒き時は一間之内遠き所にて少し焼火を
　してよし尤焼物は松葉を焼て其跡え藁（わら）を
　少し焼其 灰（はい）にて火をとめおくなり但焼 加減（かげん）に
　過不及（くはふぎう）のあやまちなきよふに心得へし
一蚕 棚（たな）竪木（たてぎ）は垂木（たるき）よふのものよし横手は竹にて棚
　の間七八寸位にすへし棚数高きは其家にした

　よし夫ゟ二月 彼岸（ひがん）頃迄座敷抔に掛置 干（ほし）て
　右の通り仕舞（しまひ）置へし

現代語訳

あるいは煮炊きなどをしてはならない。
一、特に寒い時は一間の内の遠い所で少し焚き火をして
　良い。もっとも焚き物は松葉を燃やしてその後に藁を
　少し燃やし、その灰で火を止めておくのである。ただし焚き加減に
　やり過ぎや不足の間違いがないように心得よ。
一、蚕棚の縦木は垂木のようなものが良い。横手は竹で棚
　の間は七八寸位にすべし。棚数の高さはその家に適した
　ようにすべし。
　　　　蚕種の取り扱い方について
一、蚕種は暑中は涼しい所に掛けて置き、それから物の当たらない所に
　しまっておくべし。寒中に至ったら三日程の間、一日に一度
　ずつ昼の間しばらく水中へ入れ置き、夕方に引き上げて寒風に当てて
　良い。それから二月の彼岸頃まで座敷などに掛けて置き、干して
　右の通りしまっておくべし。

1. Especially during cold times, it is good to make a small fire in a distant place within the room. For fuel, burn pine needles first, then burn a little straw afterwards, and extinguish the fire with the ashes. However, be careful not to make mistakes of excess or insufficiency in the amount of burning.
1. For silkworm shelves, the vertical wood should be like rafters. The horizontal parts should be bamboo, and the space between shelves should be about seven to eight sun. The number of shelf levels should be suited to the particular house.
　　　　Regarding the Handling of Silkworm Eggs
1. During the hot season, silkworm eggs should be hung in a cool place, and then stored in a place where nothing will touch them. When the cold season arrives, for about three days, once a day during the daytime, briefly place them in water for a while, then pull them up in the evening and expose them to the cold wind. From then until around the spring equinox in the second month, hang them in the living room and dry them, then store them as described above.
