蚕 痛（いた）まぬ為也尤蚕出候時其日限に掃取べし
前日に生れし蚕を翌日へ持越て掃時は何程 手（しゆ）
練（れん）を尽（つく）し養ふとも庭の起ゟ変（へんじ）出るといへり
但昼後に生れし蚕は夜分に掃おろしても
くるしからず夜中に生れし蚕は朝に掃おろ
しても苦からす
一蚕掃おろしの時種壱枚の蚕を凡三尺に四尺
位にむらなきよふに薄（うす）くして置直に切桑をかけ
てよし若初日に椹（くのみ）を養ふとも翌日は切桑に
すへし但掃おろしの時雨天ならば遠き所
にて火を焼気候の温（あたゝか）なるよふにすへし尤
悪しき匂ひ有木焼へからす
蚕四度の居起并 飼（かい）方の事
一掃おろしより始終共に桑の養方朝五つ時前
現代語訳
蚕を痛めないためである。もっとも蚕が出る時は、その日のうちに掃き取るべきである。
前日に生まれた蚕を翌日へ持ち越して掃く時は、どれほど手練を尽くして養っても、初めの調子から変調が出るという。
ただし昼過ぎに生まれた蚕は夜分に掃きおろしても
差し支えない。夜中に生まれた蚕は朝に掃きおろし
ても構わない。
一、蚕を掃きおろす時、種一枚の蚕を大体三尺に四尺
位にむらなく薄く敷いて置き、すぐに切り桑をかけて
よい。もし初日に椹の実を与えても、翌日は切り桑に
すべきである。ただし掃きおろしの時に雨天ならば、遠い所
で火を焚いて気候が温かになるようにすべきである。もっとも
悪い匂いのある木は焚いてはならない。
蚕四度の居起並びに飼い方について
一、掃きおろしから始終を通じて桑の与え方は、朝五つ時前
