現代語訳

幣等の物を賜う。爾は宜しく王章を恪守し、先志を遵述し、礼を秉り義を守り、境を奠め民を安んじ、庶わくは朕が無外の仁を彰かにし、以て永く爾が有終の誉を保たん」と。王は王舅馬良弼を遣わして入謝せしめ、陪臣の子鄭週等三人を偕えて就学させ、南京国子監に送ることを命じ、例の如く衣糧を給す。九年、王は正議大夫梁燦を遣わして入貢す。十一年、王は使梁灼を遣わして入貢す。十五年、王は正議大夫鄭礼を遣わして謝恩し、別に使を遣わして方物を貢し、宴賞悉く例の如し。明年王卒す。在位十六年、年三十五歳。

You should respectfully observe the royal statutes, follow and continue your predecessor's aspirations, uphold propriety and maintain righteousness, stabilize the borders and bring peace to the people, so that you may manifest Our benevolence that knows no boundaries and thus eternally preserve your reputation of achieving good ends." The king sent his royal uncle Ma Liangbi to present thanks, accompanying three sons of court ministers including Zheng Zhou for education, commanding their dispatch to the Imperial Academy in Nanjing, providing clothing and provisions as per precedent. In the ninth year, the king sent Grand Master for Policy Deliberation Liang Can to present tribute. In the eleventh year, the king sent envoy Liang Zhuo to present tribute. In the fifteenth year, the king sent Grand Master for Policy Deliberation Zheng Li to express gratitude, and separately dispatched envoys to tribute local products, with banquets and rewards all according to precedent. The following year the king died. He reigned for sixteen years and was thirty-five years old.

In the seventeenth year of the Wanli era of Ming (1589), the year of ji-chou, Shō Nei ascended the throne.
