　年慶詔至国詔曰朕受天明命君臨万方薄海内外
　罔不来享延賞錫慶恩礼攸同惟爾琉球国遠処海
　浜恪遵聖教世修職貢足称守礼之邦国王尚元紹

　統永建外藩特遣正使戸科左給事中蕭崇業副使
　行人司行人謝杰齎詔往封為琉球国中山王仍賜

　有衆同我太平則亦爾海邦無疆之休勅王曰惟爾
　先世守此海邦代受王封克承忠順迨於爾父元畏

　用悼傷爾為冡嗣克修厥美群情既附宜紹爵封茲
　特遣使封爾為琉球国中山王并賜爾及妃冠服彩

現代語訳

造船は府佐副に専責させ、指揮二員と共に造完すれば一併して随行させるべし。一つ、飲食物用、弓矢器械、および観星占風聴水察土医卜技芸の流れに至るまで畢く備え、酌量して取用することを許可すること悉く請う所の如し。五年、正議大夫梁灼入貢す。表には世子の時と称するも、崇業等は尚未だ行かざるなり。八年、慶詔国に至る。詔して曰く「朕は天明の命を受け万方に君臨す。薄海の内外、来享せざる罔し。延賞錫慶、恩礼攸に同じ。惟だ爾琉球国は遠く海浜に処し、恪く聖教を遵い、世々職貢を修む。足に守礼の邦と称すべし。国王尚元は紹序膺封し、臣節罙く謹む。茲に焉んぞ薨逝するや、悼み朕が衷を切る。其の侯度常有るを念い、王封当に継がるべし。其の世子永は徳惟だ象賢、恵能く衆を得、宜しく国統を承け永く外藩を建つべし。特に正使戸科左給事中蕭崇業、副使行人司行人謝杰を遣わし詔を齎して往き封じて琉球国中山王と為し、仍って皮弁冠服等の物を以て賜う。凡そ国中の官僚耆旧は尚其れ心を協わせ翼賛し、力を畢くして匡扶し、懋猷替うること勿かれ。承先に於いて礼を執り益々上に事うるに虔なり。茲の有衆を綏んじて我が太平に同じくせば、則ち亦た爾海邦無疆の休ならん」と。勅して王に曰く「惟だ爾先世此の海邦を守り、代々王封を受け克く忠順を承く。爾が父元に迨ぶまで天を畏れ大に事え、益々小心を用い、誠節懋く彰われ、寵恩洊く被る。遽に焉んぞ薨逝するや、良に用て悼傷す。爾は冡嗣と為り克く厥の美を修め、群情既に附す。宜しく爵封を紹ぐべし。茲に特に使を遣わして爾を封じて琉球国中山王と為し、并せて爾及び妃に冠服彩を賜う。

His heir Ei possesses virtue that truly follows the virtuous example, his benevolence enables him to win the people's support, and he should appropriately inherit the state lineage and perpetually establish the outer domain. We specially dispatch Chief Envoy Xiao Chongye, Left Vice Director of the Ministry of Personnel Office of Scrutiny, and Deputy Envoy Xie Jie of the Court of Imperial Entertainments, carrying this edict to proceed and invest him as King of Chuzan of Ryukyu Kingdom, and also bestow leather caps, ceremonial robes and other items. All officials and elders throughout the country should unite their hearts in assistance and support, exert their full strength in guidance and aid, and not let wise governance be interrupted. In honoring predecessors, execute propriety with ever greater devotion in serving superiors. Pacify these multitudes and join in Our great peace, and this will also be your island nation's boundless blessing."
