妙法寺（みやうほふし）
当寺（たうし）に安置（あんち）の日蓮大士（にちれん ）の
感応（かんをう）は常（つね）に唐埍（たうえん）#9ならす故（ゆへ）に
風雨（ふうう）寒暑（かんしよ）をいとはす都鄙（とひ）
の貴賤（きせん）日毎にこゝに詣（けい）して
百度参等 片時（へんし）絶（たゆ）る事
なし殊に七月の法華（ほつけ）
千部会（せんふゑ）十月の会式（ゑしき）
には群参（くんさん）稲麻（たうま）の
如く駢闐（へんてん）言語（こんこ）の

妙法寺
当寺に安置されている日蓮大士への感応は、常に絶えることなく、風雨・寒暑をもいとわず、都市・農村の貴賤を問わず、日ごとにここに詣でて百度参りなどをする者が、片時も途絶えることがない。とりわけ、七月の法華千部会、十月の会式には、群参する人々が麻畑の茎のように立ち並び、その賑わいはとても言葉では言い表せないほどである。

Horinōuchi
Myōhōji Temple
The miraculous responses to prayers directed at the sacred image of the Great Teacher Nichiren, enshrined in this temple, are never-ceasing. Regardless of wind, rain, cold, or heat, people of all ranks and stations — from the capital and the countryside alike — visit here daily to perform their hundredfold pilgrimages (hyakudo-mairi) and other devotions, without a single moment's interruption. In particular, during the Hokke Senbu-e (the assembly for the recitation of one thousand volumes of the Lotus Sutra) held in the seventh month, and the Eshiki (memorial service) held in the tenth month, the multitudes of worshippers flock here thick as stalks of hemp in a field, and the spectacle is utterly beyond description.
