第十四章 脈候の時間的変化
脈候は時々刻々と同じではなく、遅速細大、動くたびに一定でない。故にしばしば診察しなければ病態を窮めることは難しく、変症を察することも難しい。
西洋医学の治療経験では、危重の症を半時間ごとに一診した例がある。思うに昼間十二回診察するものである。用心の深切さがこのようでなければ、険症に臨んでその状態を尽くすことはできない。
第十五章 舌の所見
舌が乾いて苔がない、或いは淡い苔で白を帯びる者は平症（軽症）である。黒い苔が煙や煤のようで、乾燥して皮が剥けるように裂ける者は重症である。炙った鶏肝のような状態で赤くただれて麹のようになる者は、累卵よりも危険である。

Chapter 14: Temporal Changes in Pulse Conditions
Pulse conditions are not the same from moment to moment - slow, rapid, fine, large - each beat is irregular. Therefore, unless one examines frequently, it is difficult to fathom the disease state and difficult to observe changing symptoms.
